Hello everyone! Just a quick update on the talent build presented in this video. Beacon of Virtue is an excellent choice to pick up instead of Beacon of Faith. It is a talent that requires a bit more skill to pull off correctly as you have to carefully consider the mana costs vs. the value you get from each cast. If you cast it on cooldown without considering the healing needed, you will quickly run out of mana. If you are comfortable with the mechanics of the fight and know the damage profiles, try using virtue. If you are still learning how to play holy Paladin and just getting into raiding, I would recommend starting with beacon of Faith, and once comfortable swap over to virtue.
I have been looking for a different Healer to play for Season 4, since I am getting a bit bored of my MW Monk. I always loved the class fantasy of Paladin but never quite got the hang of it, but your videos have been a TON of help. Really appreciate the work you're putting into this. Keep it up :)
Hello! I’m glad it has been helpful for you, I love hearing that :) Who knows what the meta will be in season 4, and who knows how they will tune all of the classes. This is why I just play what I like but dabble with all of the healers :)
Great video. On H Paly, I tend to think in terms of resource builders and spenders; I like the idea of splitting cooldowns into phases as you do, though that probably also comes with a lot of practice.
Thanks man, appreciate that! Yeah the builder spender thought process does still have value, but considering we are working with a low Holy Power talent tree, we are less interested in the resources that pertains to.
Hey Valiath, my RL is telling that I should be using beacon of virtue and not faith, would this be better for raiding? I'm not quite sure what most popular HPallys play for this, would be great to know for future. Thanks
Hello Kota! This is a great question, and the short answer is that both can work very well in a raiding environment and you should run the one you play the best with. If you look at the top players they tend to run virtue but beware, that is a harder talent to play if you are not careful with its use. Virtue is a very mana hungry spell and if you are not deliberate with its use and plan for it you will go out of mana pretty quickly. From a pure numbers standpoint, if you play Virtue correctly, meaning you don't spam using it all the time, it will outperform beacon of light. If you spam Virtue whenever it is available throughout the fight, you will have no mana after like 1.5 minutes and you will be useless for the rest of the fight. It is a talent where you need to carefully consider the cost/reward for each cast and if you can do that i would say, use Virtue and practice it. It is not a talent i would recommend for new players to use because of this.
