Capcom has a huge line up of side scrolling beat'em up games and most are remembered fondly if they are remembered at all. Some how final fight peaked at final fight 1 arcade. Everything from the snes port to the sequels failed to live up to that game. In fact before the arcade games were rereleased on modern consoles, the best home version of final fight you could buy was on sega cd. I have no idea how nintendo managed to knee cap capcom when it came to arcade games but they did and it hurt.
OMG ...just realized how much more Birdie in SFV looks like Edi. E than the previous versions of Birdie in Street Fighter ...is that a coincidence or did they merge the two characters? 🤔
Watch, after the “Capcom Fighting Collection 2” releases and sells gangbusters (we know why it will), “Final Fight Revenge will get I’d due in “Capcom Fighting Collection 3”. I’ll bet money on this lol!
Hello, I have some brilliant ideas for the Street Fighter spinoff, which mainly related to the Final Fight series. The game’s title - Street Fighter 2000 - is a reference to the original titles of the first Final Fight game. The story centres around a martial arts tournament known as the "Street Fighter" tournament, held in the fictional town of Highway City (a reference to Metro City) and sponsored by local gang called Prism. The gang’s boss, Sky, is searching for new henchmen, so she decides to test the strength of potential recruits. Several characters from previous games entered the competition: - Ryu from Street Fighter. - Ken from Street Fighter. - Chun-Li from Street Fighter II. - Fei Long from Super Street Fighter II. - Dan from Street Fighter Alpha. - Karin from Street Fighter Alpha 3. - Oro from Street Fighter III. - Remy from Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. - C. Viper from Street Fighter IV. - Hakan from Super Street Fighter IV. - Menat from Street Fighter V. - Jamie from Street Fighter 6. - Manon from Street Fighter 6. New faces also joined the fray, namely: - Yayoi, a Japanese daughter of the former member of Prism gang. She’s a Hafu, as her father is an American. - Diane, the leader of the another gang called “Mad Gears”. - Justin, Diane’s partner and second in command of Mad Gears gang. - S. Gwen (Sparkling Gwen), the treasurer of Mad Gears gang. - Kokona, the enforcer of Mad Gears gang. - Shade, a ninja girl with the ability of taking control over her own shadow. - Sugoka, a bartender, who is also a billiard pro. - Kota, a Japanese occultist who fights with his ghost friend named Mylene. - Ashley, a street performer who is capable of various tricks and other “magic” (a magician). - Priscilla, a biker lady who travels across the world searching for her lost mother. - Morgan, a thief with high-tech equipment, which makes him look like a black frog. - Orphan Ben, a 11-years old boy who raised in the streets of Highway City. - Zane, an arrogant fighter and self-proclaimed “Cool Guy”. He is a satire of Shotoclones. The major characters are Yayoi Phillips, who wants to avenge her father Franklin, as he was previously killed by Sky’s order, and Mad Gears - a group of problem teenagers, who claim to be the successors of the original Mad Gear gang. Except for Yayoi and Mad Gears gang, the participants believe that the tournament is being sponsored by a company known as Southern Motors (a reference to South Town and Fatal Fury), but they soon learn that its true sponsor is the Prism gang. For the most of characters the story will be the same: after defeating the tournament’s champion Raven and her murderous another personality named Rankora, the player’s character is suddenly captured by Prism underlings and sent to Sky’s personal tower by force, leading to a one-on-one showdown against the crime boss herself. Seems like Yayoi would be the main protagonist of this game, however, in her story mode after defeating Raven she’ll encounter Diane, while Diane in her story mode will fight Yayoi instead of Raven. That’s the major plot twist - Yayoi actually is a false protagonist, and Diane is the real one. Independent for the player’s choice, Yayoi ends up losing her consciousness and Diane ends up being kidnapped to fight Sky. If the player’s character is Justin, Gwen or Kokona, the three will chase the gangsters to save Mad Gears leader Diane, but end up being on the rooftop, where one of them will fight Rankora (skipping Raven phase). They succeed and reach Diane, who ended up being defeated by Sky, who will be the final boss. However, Diane’s ending is the canon one: after defeating Sky, she’s trying to escape the burning building (the fire began during their fight), but she was trapped. Eventually, she was saved by her teammates. Later, she visits Roxy’s grave, where the second plot twist is revealed: Diane is actually the daughter of Belger. She was raised by Roxy, who died before the events of the game. Eventually, Mad Gears gang joined this tournament to overthrow the well known and powerful gang known as Prism. The bosses of this game are: - Raven, a strange girl with unusual powers (Psycho Power) who serves as this tournament’s champion. - Rankora, Raven’s split personality who appears when Raven is knocked down: if the player manages to defeat Raven at least once, the next round they’ll fight Rankora. Her moves are stronger and she also uses Soul Power, combining with Psycho Power. Both Raven & Rankora serves as sub-boss. - Sky, the leader of Prism, who organises the tournament and the game’s final boss. She’s fighting with her bladed dress and her long hair which she uses it to grab or slam her opponents. During the battle her hair begins turning into a lava, allowing her to use new moves and increasing the damage. Her stage also changes: if Sky’s hair becomes a lava during the round, the next round begins in the burning office. - Kolin from Street Fighter III, who appears as hidden boss. What Kolin is doing here? Here is the third and the final plot twist: after the player defeats Kolin as hidden boss, she’ll be unlocked as the playable character. And if player completes Arcade mode playing her, they’ll get a secret ending, revealing that Gill survived and now he’s planning the new thing. Kota is also revealed to be one of the major characters in his ending, as he is a former member of Secret Society and the appearance of Doctor Woo. So, Street Fighter 2000 serves as the direct sequel not for the Final Fight series, but also for Street Fighter III, ignoring the events of SF6.
