  • @darrinwoodward14
    @darrinwoodward14 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Also have been looking at that system,but it would seem to me that your bleeder screws should b on the top of the caliper,not on the bottom,because air naturally goes up.now that I think about it,every motorcycle,quad,snowmobile,car and truck I have bleed the brakes on,the bleeder is always on the top.i will have to install the system on my baja and check it out.does look way more effective than the cable system I currently have.

    • @jonesq26
      @jonesq26  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On this set up you are not going to get all of the air out but most of it, if the bleeder screws are at the top its going to be very messy when bleeding the brakes I have tried both ways and this one works for me.

  • @jimjackson4020
    @jimjackson4020 ปีที่แล้ว

    How can you tell if it’s the right direction or not. I can reverse the. Servo on my control but then it makes my break lights backwards. Normally it moves CCW for Gas and CW for break. On the original. Other than just buying the working one like I did. 😢

  • @soplim8632

    I have both brakes one hydro and one cable each on a different Baja and it’s easier it replace the cables and parts on the cable because you can go to any bike shop and get the parts. Replacing the parts for the hydro brakes is harder because I have to order them online and wait for them to come in, which means it’s out of service till the parts come in.

      this specific kit likes the feed line in the top position, i have it myself and works better on that position. i notice the lines dont bend too much on top, and seems to be more protected.

    • @jonesq26
      @jonesq26  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I run mine like that so my fluid lines are more towards the top of the caliper and not at the bottom of the caliper because the lower the lines the easier it is to damage the line so that lessons the repairs and they work just fine and when I bleed my lines to get rid of the air all of the fluid runs out of the bottom instead of the top and flowing everywhere, thanks for the comment!

    Those parts are very very trick but I have to think the first time you jump and nose down and hit the front part of the arm that oil line is going to split? And then u won’t have breaks either side... why not put the line somewhere else (maybe no where else to put it?) or maybe they can make a steel wired line like normal motocross cables.. either way would be better then the tube like material they use that runs across the front of the arms which I’ve seen get normal running damage.

  • @monsterrc9168
    @monsterrc9168 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not to sound like some kinda smart ass but can’t you just place the bleeders facing upwards? Like on a regular hydraulic brake system. It would be easier for the calipers to fill up with mostly fluid and allows the air to escape without the mess.

    IMPORTANT; Dont use automotive brake fluid if you can avoid it. Sure, it works however it also highly corrosive to these sensitive brakes. They will break down seals, orings and all the rubber/plastic pieces that are used in the system over time. They sell hydraulic fluid made by the RC conpany FG. Use this stuff instead. Trust me, i found this out the hard way. Check out the links.Specially made for hydraulic brakes in RC cars.
