Ford Escort 1980 RS2000 racing at Wakefield Park NSW Australia

This is me driving my Escort racing car in 2004 at Wakefield Park. I loved the car though it needed more power. The thirst for more power was why I ended up replacing it with my MR2.

nice job mate .i have an rs2000 as well that im setting up for the track .i was at wakfield yesterday in my mates 79 rx7 13b na and i managed a 115,7 ..just wondering what your rs2000 set up was .suspension /tyres power? ..cheers

It made 98kW at the wheels. Suspension was mostly standard though with stiffer springs. Tyres were Dunlop semi slicks. My best was a 1m13s on the old track. The new track is slightly different and at least 1 second faster than back then. I like the old RX7s - great cars!

Hi there great video wish I was the driver even though I am 80 yrs old have just purchased a rs2000 cheers.
