Hey, what do you think about swapping the stock esc for HW 10BL60 g2 that just came out and pairing it with their new 3652 4000kv motor? Do you think it would be better than the stock one?
I'm not sure. It would probably be fairly similar in power maybe a little bit less but to be honest with you the stock power system is kind of too much for these little cars anyway so I don't think you'd be disappointed with the 10 BL60.

@@DawidMore depends on which 10 BL60 you're talking about. Unfortunately and confusingly hobbywing has two different ESCs with the same name. The one I used in the Grom is the smaller sensored one and the one I recommend for this would be the larger waterproof one.
@@DoRCI got the bigger, waterproof one. Also went with their new G2 4000kv motor but for some reason I thought they have the same shaft as the stock one so I’m gonna need to get a pinion at some point to see how the Grom handles it. Will get it installed in the savage and see how it handles it.
@@DawidMore That's going to be a lot of jam for the grom and I'm not sure The motor will even fit but if you can get it in there let me know how it goes!
I don't remember. This was made a long time ago. If they look the same there's a decent chance it'll work. I don't think that you can hurt anything by trying it so give it a shot and see how it goes!
Any idea what I can use to program an older hpi flux vapor pro esc for my wr8? The castle link programmer that you're supposed to use is so hard to find.

Hi, i have hpi elh-6s esc and it works great i just need to change some settings with batteries so i bought this hobbywing LCD programmer and it looks like it could work but when i connect esc to programmer there is just “connecting esc” and i cant go any further so it Would be lovely if someone know how to help me, thanks
I'm not sure the ELH 6S is programmable with the hobbywing LCD programmer. There are instructions however in the manual on how to program it using the beep codes and button on the power switch.
It's the EMH 3S ESC. This is in the flux XS. You would think that any hobby wing made ESC would work with the hobby when programmers but sometimes the ability to program them gets locked out in ones that are made for other brands. It's annoying but true.

Hi, you say this is a hobbywing. I am wondering if you could give me some advice. I own this esc and also own 2 other hobbywing esc’s. What my problem is with 2 of them they work as they should when the wheels ain’t on the floor but as soon as the wheels are on the floor the esc’s keep cutting out and one of the esc’s is brand new. Is the problem happening with all hobbywing esc’s or just this one. I am stuck and don’t know what to do.

Hmm. Been a while since I had the flux but I think I remember there being a certain order things needed to be plugged in/turned on. Though you may have just had a defective unit.
Looks like I missed this one. If the hobbywing programmer isn't working there's a good chance that it's a castle esc. HPI used Castle ESC first and then switched to hobby wing.

Hmm I'm not sure. I haven't had that for a while. There are a couple hpi groups on fb you could try. They someone there might have the software.

I already have the cheap HW lcd programmer, anyone know if it works? I have a chance to buy this esc a and I don't plan on getting it wet.
Do you mean the one that has two little screens and only shows numbers? As far as I know it doesn't work but I haven't tried it myself.

No. It's good to go out of the box. This just lets you tweak settings.
