That thwomp level is so frustratingly close to being great. All it needs is some better indication and signposting so it doesn't completely drop the ball
Yeah, so much creativity .. ruined with a few oversights of good level design .. It truly is a shame.
And a way to get a second chance with any pink coins that could've been missed.
That second to last red coin was basically pick-a-path too

Great isn’t good.
The thwomp level creator just needed to realize the coins made no difference to the experience and without a clear con they could have added a checkpoint. And lose the pink coins

I agree. The red coins could have been made optional and imo the Bowser fight was 100% unnecessary. Other than that the level was soooo close to being so good!
Put less coins in it, allow you to go back in the second section, and dont make the fireflower mandatory. They definitely have talent for level creation.

In that dark level he definitely could have jumped over the pipe at the end, twirled left, land on the piece of wall then go to the goal. That was frustrating to watch him act like that wasn't an option

Shame about that last one. Creator probably tested a lot, and it's a very cool level. But they didn't consider how someone who didn't know the level would approach it.
Still can't figure out what was up with the key and slashed ON block at the start.
i felt like the yapping cause him to misread the fireflower part that was like super obvious after the first time he got there
@@ManiX207It's definitely not obvious that you can't take damage in that section until after you've already failed. And once you do fail, there's no way to retry without dying.
@@noahblack914 I think the part about the key means "there are no keys to be found, you NEED to get all the red coins" thats the way i interpreted it.

1 -- Easy (course) 10
2-- A short speedrun (course) have fun!
3 --speedrun
4 -- A level where tanuki mario flies

That's a lore accurate Bowser if I've ever seen one.
I think the message the maker of the last level was trying to say is don't miss the key. However, it was really lost in translation.
And I think the "No On/Off" meant the level doesn't use them (so no "surprise thwomp activates on/off from off screen")
the last level is part of a super world, so maybe the on/off and clear condition are part of some kind of rules
that thwomp level is a little flawed but otherwise very well designed

You can keep hammering other players in multiplayer and basically stun lock them, which is sort of a toxic behavior.

Activate it on menu settings and press home twice

@@franciscovaldes4107 It has plenty of good level design to make up for that. The only real problem with the stage is that you couldn't go back if you missed a red coin. The rest of the problems just seemed like small nitpicks. It could've been much worse is all I am saying.
