  • I attended the Hebden Bridge classic car show for the first time, but I went in Senior Mustard's Austin 1300.

Looked a lovely show and not tooooo many posers. It did well on grass with the the amount of rain we've had up north this summer Paul.

I like the pink Cadillac, a 1961 Sedan de Ville. The convertible next to it is a 1959. Looks space age, bullet taillamps that look like rockets.
I do like a nice British car like the Triumph Stag, very rare here in the US. And Senior Mustard's car would have been calle the Austin America in the US, also extremely rare, but lovely nonetheless.

3:00 The lilac Morris Minor, exactly like my mum's in 1970,, that I learned to drive in. Mum's car had yellow wheels, and during one particular lesson I drove it home without a working clutch, after the chain connecting the pedal to either the cable or the master hydraulic cylinder snapped. Quite a journey since my instructor (a slightly older friend of mine) had chosen a trip to Lake Windermere for that day's lesson. I'd ridden a lot of motorbikes by then so had mastered clutchless changing, and engine revs/speed matching.

I like a car show, especially when they have faces....
That Humber did look surprised and slightly angry!

    Wow, Cool show..
I feel I lock myself away from taking myself to a car show Classic or otherwise..
My favorite place has been Ace Cafe In North London just big enough to stretch my legs, have a nice coffee and a few chats..
I remember back in the early 1980's As a young man Growing in Coventry we had the Royal show Ground in Stoneleigh its was held the last week just before our 6 week Summer holiday.
And the August Bank holiday was a 3 day event where people who loved there cars showed them off..
    Anyway Asking a free favour..???
What's your views on a 1993 Bentley Turbo R 6.7 cc engine car in I assume Brooklands Green (faded) its not got any MOT as the last one was 2018. The seller says the tyres on it are perished.
I've got a rough idea on the value of a set of 4 around a £1000.
Not offended by this and my border line costs so far its heading out to £7000 pound car including the purchase price..
Its a project for sure, in body work terms Rolling Restoration Ha Ha Ha lol..
The deep leather trim and woodwork require detailed attention mainly leather cleaning and so on..
True feelings is a program I loved watching where they say "You don't make money out of restoring cars".. It pickles my brain a bit..
Pride and enjoyment and a personal skill set is the hopefulness you would get from doing such..
    Keep these videos coming..
    All the best TJ

A cheese-grater for a grille, the scary looks of a 1960s battleaxe of a headmistress, and an Alfa-Sud made it to the show without falling apart! Mustard's in depth knowledge putting other so-called classic car aficionados to shame!
The full Carry on Camping - yes it is!😀 I can just imagine Sid James climbing out!
A brilliant car-show walk around, and ... best of all ... ALLEGROMAN! 😃

Although that red Riley looked like a Sunbeam Rapier to my untrained eye! 😂

Yours was too young but they'll fill the place with loads of the same stuff because it meets the age criteria.
Not much time for stodgy shows like that, usually full of cheque book restorations brought by people who've done well for themselves and wow they want to show it off but don't know which end of a screwdriver to hold.
