    Any Specs you need for your bike comment below what spec you need and I will check the book Honda provided me! (Book name - Haynes Service & Repair Manual : Honda Shadow VT600 & 750 '88 to '08)
    All the items NEEDED to perform the oil change in this video are below!
    - 17mm Wrench (Oil Drain Plug)
    - HF 303 HIFLOFILTRO Oil Filter
    - M14 Drain Plug Gasket
    - Microfiber Towel
    - Funnel
    - Oil Drain Pan (I forgot to include in video!)
    - Approximately 2.38 quarts (3 containers but you wont use all 3 just 2.38 quarts worth and that is if you are doing a FLUID AND FILTER change).
    Some items i use that are not needed but I used in video below!
    - Motor Oil Measuring Cup
    - Permatex Thread sealant
    - Oil Filter Wrench
    - Socket Wrench Extension
    - 10mm Socket And Wrench (Coolant Reservoir Tank)
    Below are links and torque specifications and other specifications!
    * Oil Drain Plug
    - Torque spec : 25 foot pounds
    - Oil Velocity : 10w 40 or 10w 30
    - Oil Type : API grade SG or higher, meeting JASO standard MA (The MA standard is required to prevent clutch slippage)
    * Oil Drain Plug Gasket
    - Size M14
    - Amazon 100 pack of M14 for 25.99 right now
    * Oil Filter
    -Torque Spec : Hand tighten
    - HF 303 HIFLOFILTRO
    * Coolant Reservoir Tank Bolt
    - No spec in Honda Records (Just hand tighten it snug but be careful not to do it too tight since it is metal on plastic and could crack the tank if tightened too much)
    *Oil I Used
    - FirePower SAE Synthetic Blend 10w 40 High Performance
    - This oil is not available on the market unless buying from a private shop, ebay, MotoSport, Revzilla, dealerships, etc. (I bought mine from Full Throttle Powersports in Chestertown MD)
    NOTE** When I rode the bike to a spot with a level surface, there was sufficient oil but it was low. I added another eighth of a quart to the engine since I am particular and want it right under the second line from the bottom. Estimated total oil amount added in the end is 2.5 quarts (ESTIMATED OFF OF FREE POURING)

      Hi. I ride on my honda xrv 750 96'. I'm interested in vlx 600 and other honda models, that are popular in USA.😊

      You can’t go wrong with a Honda! The 600’s are bullet proof and are great bikes truly! I’ll be posting all the mods I put on the bike in a later video and I hope you will see it! Ride safe!

      Yes! Aside from different colors and maybe a piece of trim maybe they are ultimately the same thing! Same size motor, same mechanical parts for the most part!

    How long I should wait to completely drain the old oil out?
    And should I flush my old oil out with the flusher solution?
    I hope mine has no oil gunk build up😂
    by the way thanks for such informative vid. I will start changing the oil on my own soon thanks to you!

      I’m happy I was able to help aid in your personal mechanical adventure!
      You should change your oil every 3,000 miles no more that 4,000 miles along with a new oil filter and oil drain plug gasket
      No need to flush as long as you stay regular with your oil changes every 3-4 thousand miles
      If it’s been over 7 to 8 thousand miles since your last oil change it’s safe to just do a regular oil change without a flushing solution, go 1000 miles, and do another one and then stay on top of doing oil changes every 3 to 4 thousand miles
      Also don’t forget to do the oil change on a level surface before draining and filling the bike with oil and for checking the level of oul
      If you have any other questions feel free to shoot me another comment on this video and I will reply as soon as possible!

      @@RidinAndVibin I did the oil check dipping the cap with stick after wiping it clean and did not screw it in (idk how to call it) which turn out there are no oil sticking to the stick at all I guess it's too low at the moment. 🤣😭

      @Aamon-Synxt Did you sit on it and check it while it is centered upright off the kick stand all level?

    • @RidinAndVibin
      @RidinAndVibin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To check your oil level on you Honda shadow 600 here are the steps
      1: start bike for a few minutes to get warm then turn it off and let it sit for a minute or two
      2:make sure you are on a level surface
      2: make sure you have the filler cap unscrewed
      3: make sure you sit on the bike or have it centered on a jack up right
      4: make sure bike is off and without screwing the cap in, dip the cap down in the hole and make sure it is within those two lines on the stick, better to have it closer to the top line
