    This is random but a small upgrade to add to fleets is changing out the radios. I have a few olders cars that dont have bluetooth and you would be suprised how mang people dont book your car if it doesnt have bluetooth. A radio with bluetooth and the kit to install will be no more than $100. That small upgrade will make a big difference.

    • @dylpspevtre
      @dylpspevtre 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Definitely, I would never book a car without Bluetooth, I know it’s an age thing I don’t like the radio as much as controlling my own music

      @@The3nd187 simple fix. But a psychology block that you may only understand if you actually do this... customers dont care. They want certain things no matter what. Bluetooth is a must bro. Spend the hundred bones once and itll bring you 1000 a month. I know you understand that math.

How do you recoup your expenses? Does this increase your insurance? How do you prevent these things from happening and when they do happen? What is your recourse? You may have covered insurance related issues in another video all on its own so I will go ahead and look at your others. What area do you do your Turo in? My wife and I are about to put up our first car if it goes well we will add a second a few months later. I think we are going to use a similar model mostly commuter type cars like the Toyota Yaris. We are less mechanically inclined so we where thinking to stay with cars a bit newer probably 2018 less than 80,000km. My wife and I are really enjoying your content. We adjusted our fleet just prior to ACL and F1 month, and it paid off. Got rid of some dead weight, and temporarily went up to 5 cars. Pulling the truck off at the end of the month and dropping back to just 4, which is about all I can handle, part-time, but this month we did $7k, a new record by $1.5k, and two cars were not available the full month. We'll see what coming months bring, as the whole fleet is now more reliable, hopefully. A 7 passenger Euro SUV($2k/mo two of the last three!!!), convertible, Jeep, cheap exotic, and might add back the euro sedan after some serious ($$$) engine work.

    Turo has a policy where to add a car to the fleet, it must be no older than 12 years, less than 180k miles. It is 2023 so that means the oldest I can go for would be a 2011 car with 170k miles. So if I currently have a 2011 car on Turo, and lets say 2024 rolls around with the car having 200k+ miles, would be that car be disqualified because it'll be 13 years old with past the mileage? The Turo ones aren't as good in my opinion, in Carsync you can attach photos with the automated message (they don't go into the message but they go into the trip photos), they also can add the lock box code with the message automatically and they automate tolls. Turo auto messages is solid, but Carsync is loads better.

    Is the number of trips completed on a car's profile the total number, or just the times someone has rated? When I look at the different cars, I rarely see any even close to 3 digits, I live in a major metro area.
    The various Turo videos give the impression your car should be rented out a majority of the time, but the numbers don't add up based on the # of trips on the cars I see. I would have thought I could see a decent number of cars with hundreds of trips, but that's not the case.

    Here’s what I wonder how can you ensure all of your vehicles are rented every single month at a consistent rate? Like on average how many days a month is one of your vehicles on the road and rented out for? I’d like to turn a fleet into a full time job but I need a consistent income to be able to do this. If I own 10 cars but they each only get rented maybe once or twice a month for only a couple of days that isn’t nearly enough money to support myself and grow at a decent pace.

      80-90% is goal, the utilization will fluctuate, last month my cars were rented 92% of the time, this month it may be closer to 90% next month it will be less as January is slower

      @@AubreyJanik ok that’s very good but how do I know what cars will perform well in my market? I live near Denver Colorado and I can do airport deliveries. Should I have a fleet of SUVs? Or a fleet of cars like yours? I’ve seen your Turo profile and all of your cars but I just wonder how your type of cars would perform in my market.

    Could you tell me please, I wrote to technical support Turo, wanted to find statistics of views by car. But I was told that there is no such algorithm. Is this true?

    What nacis code do you use for the business? I ask because I understand that if I put rental company lenders see me as high risk I will only have 2 cars in my llc

    Hmmmm.... i would really like to manage a fleet in the future, but i would choose economy over nicer cars for sure just to be more affordable than the big companies in the area. I once calculated all the financials for a hypothetical rent service, but honestly people driving themselves really cuts down the cost in some ways. maybe I should go back to school for business. I really want to work with cars but I have a degree in biology lol and no business brain

    How do you list cars that are that old ? I thought turo had a limit of how old the vehicles are

    • @Regulatorsmountup

      Yes, I'm curious on that too. So do they allow the cars over 13k and over 12 years old to remain on the site if they met the requirements when listed? Like they are grandfathered in? Or do they boot that car off at the annual inspection each year and you retire the vehicle?

    Do you have a chart on profit n maintenance for smaller fleet of cars. 1-4 cars or 4-8 cars
