i wish i didnt stop playing pantera, slayer & sepultura when i was in high school because i need to prioritize being a teenage parent. the drummers in my batch are now retiring with success and some with albums in their resume. that was 30yrs ago. now im still poor and a dad of my 9 year old daughter. im struggling to play drums and i cant even buy a cheap drumset im still playing and practicing on pillows and practice pads. but thanks for my band mates now for waiting for me to catch up. we are doing screamo type of music and they are patiently playing with me while i am 10years more older that them. im doing my best now with silverstien & underoath covers and hoping someday if i can buy a cheap drumset and double pedal i can learn it back the thrash music i have learned when i was a kid. congratulations to all succesfull drummers and for those drummers who has no drumset ever since in their life like me, just keep moving in our life cause life is movement. we will be inspired by sir jay weinberg to continue play till our last breath.
