Hazrat Yusuf Bawa Madni Zanorvi (RA)
Hazrat Yusuf Bawa (RA) also known as Esufbhai Ahmedbhai Patel was born on 21/06/1938 (23 Rabiul Awwal 1357 Hijri). He was our sheikh and Imam in the UK since the departure of His Spiritual Leader (Peer-o Murshid) Hazrat Mansur Chotumiya Bawa Saheb (RA) in 1979. He led an exemplary life following the conduct and example set by the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) Praise be upon him. He was a beacon of light and a source of guidance for thousands amongst our communities here in the UK and India.
He passionately strove to continue His Sheikhs mission in the UK to enlighten mankind with his wisdom and divine grace. During his last days, he expressed a desire subtly to be buried amongst the Saliheen in Jannat-ul Baqi, Madina Sharif, Saudi Arabia. On 12th May 2004 corresponding to 23 Rabiul Awwal 1425, our sheikh and imam passed away from this world after performing Umrah in Makkah Sharif.
His last request was fulfilled by the efforts of his travel agent Nizam Master who is also a Mureed in this tarika, and the efforts of the governors of the Umrah committee's in Makkah and Madina Sharif. All was smoothly ensured that the incorruptible body of this Pious Saint was transferred from Makkah Sharif to Madina Sharif and was ultimately laid to rest in Jannat-ul Baqi after Namaz-e Janaza in the Prophet Muhammad's SAW Holy Mosque - Masjid-e Nabvi.
