- Today we take a look at ArcoLinux and the Deepin Desktop Environment. Arco is an Arch based distribution that really wants to teach you Linux! I had so much fun with this walk thru today.

Hmm, I think it is not 'sudo pacman install audacity'. It should be 'sudo pacman -S audacity'. No one else probably caught that but it glared at me so I thought I'd mention it. lol

Welcome to ArcoLinux University with Professor Erik DuBois! When you get the chance, you might want to revisit the Arch Tweak Tool. Hit the Desktop button on the top-left. In that listing of available desktops (that you can install), you will find "plasma". So you can have your KDE as well!
the version of deepin i installed from the arch extra repos broke when i tried to change wallpapers, also 99% of the time the start menu doesnt open / closes immediately, gonna try install version 2 but there's no arch packages for it lol

I don't understand what is the freaking problem with those rounded corners. only deepin os has those, and ubuntu dde which had them, now doesn't. Without those rounded corners you might just as well install any other de and not bother with dde. it's a letdown.
Also..;. have you tried using the lower-right icon for power-off/restart, etc.? It doesn't work. I'll admit that Deepin is a visually beautiful DE but it is full of bugs.
I was just researching deepin earlier and it looks so nice but it scared me away from the videos I saw.
nice looking DE, but a pass from me because it doesn't play nice with other DEs. for anybody who is just going to stay with one DE, it's a good option.
