Hey Jeremy, Just wanted to bring something to the table here, since I prefer macOS, but also like Linux as well, and really can work in either one. I find the combination works well because of certain accessibility features. For instance, the mac has always been the best for people with special needs (especially out of the box without needing to buy something extra) Windows and Linux had a lot to catch up on. Granted, with Windows you could buy additional software but, if you were buying a new computer and then had to buy the software too, the rice would be closer to the Mac where you could just get it in one box for one price. Now , that's not as big of an issue these days in terms of what comes built into the OS, or can be gotten for free. The other thing I would give to Apple which for me is both accessibility, and part of the ecosystem, is the text messaging forwarding, it's much easier to respond to texts for me via a physical keyboard vs a touch screen or trying to rely on Siri dictation to get everything I say correct. There again, windows and Mac have better text to speech options than Linux when it comes to human sounding speech. However, there again, Firefox, chrome both have speech extensions that have really nice voice options that work in the browser. I could go on and on, but to spare you a really long comment I'll leave it there, and just say sometimes a multiple OS setup can work better than a single one for specific needs. Love your videos and have a great day!

I don't play games and I don't use any windows only software so for me its MacOS and Linux. I lean to Linux for media consumption and Mac for media creation and because it works perfectly with my iPhone and iPad.
    Good comparison overall.

Ease of use should be related to how comfortable a 5 year old or 85 year old who has never used a computrt before can feel comfortable with. I've noticed mac is actually easier to use than windows for people who have never used any computer before. Windows is only easier to people who are familiar with it prior.

    About the hardware,
Well Mac's have good hardware and macOS has good support for their own hardware, it lacks support for others (with reason that macOS is made for Macs only) and making a "Hackintosh" is hard because of this. You have to find parts that are known working on actual Macs (which are usually the parts that Apple is also using). If it was hardware compatibility, Linux would win that category easily.
If it was both hardware and OS compatibility then Linux would be also questioned since it's 2024 and some people still have issues on Wi-Fi & Bluetooth cards, motherboard-specific stuff or Nvidia GPUs.

I disagree with these comparisons.. If you're going to put Linux against these other platforms you need to pick one distro because with all the differences that distros have it makes zero sense to compare them with single os'

All the Linux distros are essentially different flavors of the same Linux operating system.

@@famousmwofficial8046 Incorrect. @diotitus has the correct answer. Any Linux distro can be setup to look, behave any which way the user wants.

that is what it looks like. But there is a difference in resource management and stability, different and bloat in some distro, what the purpose of the distro and package manger
