- Video: Riding the full service from Dover Priory to London St Pancras International onboard a Southeastern Class 395 Javelin (AT300) unit (395015). Along the way this service calls at all the stations normally served by the high speed service in the normal pattern, running on third rail DC power initially, then changing to OHLE AC power for HS1 at Ashford.

Idc the 395 is the best Morden train in the uk sounds so cool it’s fast,smooth and just looks so cool
But only the northern line and Thameslink go to Morden. 🤔

Good evening, could these Javelins, at least in theory, reach France or does the SNCF not allow trains with skids to collect electricity from the 3rd side rail? Furthermore, they are already equipped with the safety system used in France on high-speed lines which, if I am not mistaken, is the same as the one present between the outlet of the submarine tunnel on British soil and London. Wait a minute is Class 395 are Bi Mode Multiple unit? I saw no electrified tracks and first scene
It works on 750V DC third rail and 25kV AC overhead line.
Uses the overhead line when on the new high speed parts. And third rail for the lines in kent which aren't 'new'
Class 395 is Dual Voltage meaning it runs on both DC Third Rail and AC Overhead Wires
In the drivers’ cab, how can you change from 25kV AC power to 3rd rail DC power and from 3rd rail DC power to 25kV AC power?
@@romw9121 There are buttons to select the DC, AC, or Channel Tunnel Rail Link systems, and then you enable the system with the “Pan Up/Shoes Down” button
