This duel is to show off some skills and fighting styles of the classes. Group PVP is far more prevalent than solo in Revelation. PK is another story tho.
My Vanguard's build is mostly Strength and Occultist build is mostly Agility.
OCCULTIST:
The Occultists peer deeply into the souls of their victims, and as interrogators their skills are unsurpassed. Through the cold eyes of a Occultist, the world is a grim place. Occultists oversee the balance between the human and spiritual realm. The Queen of Souls retain Occultists as envoys in the human realm.
Equipment: a scythe, horcrux and leather armor.

VANGUARD:
Vanguards wield battle tactics inherited from the founder of their school, the mythical Yellow Emperor. With their powerful techniques honed through dedicated and arduous training, the Vanguards are valiant protectors with their divine spears and shields. Vanguards are the foremost melee class in Revelation Online. They are resolute in the face of danger and boast an impressive array of defensive abilities.
Equipment: shield, a divine spear, and plate armor.

can i ask smt, why is there sucha small variety of wepons/armors? i ve seen a ton of vanuard videos and all wore the same amor and had the same shield and stuff :P its propably cuz its Beta but wll there be more options
these are the early level gears, so probably the vanguards you see are low levels, the weapon/armor skins change only per bracket, iow pvp gear of around the same level looks the same as crafted or dropped of around the same level ^^

How would you rate the PvP in this game? I am currently playing Black Desert Online and am tired of the endless RNG + Gear grind.....like everything is RNG and your jewelry breaks sometimes when upgrading and its awful. But BDO's PVP is amazing and is the only reason i still play. Revelations looks like it is more geared toward pve? PvP looks like all players will end up with the same setup (based on skill scaling?) and use the same few skills...is it as repetitive as it looks? No offense i know you are not max lvl or anything and probably using skills i cant even see you using and i really don't know what i'm talking about haha.
Bottom line. Is the PvP fun?
pvp is pretty balanced considering it's in brackets and some classes are nerfed (for balance purposes) and is more reliant on skills and group setup. this video is of early levels and doesn't reflect revelation's main pvp attraction which are battlegrounds, arenas, guild sieges. if you're into group pvp, it's really fun. most fun group pvp i've played for a while since archeage. if you're into solo pvp, it's not a game for that. as for RNG, it's rng if you want absolute best in slot. by that i mean, the random stats you get when crafting gear are almost always beneficial, but if you want the MOST beneficial stat to be on your crafted gear, it's RNG. gemming, upgrading +, stuff like that can be made 100% safe and 100% guaranteed upgrade with enough materials. The PvP is fun when you get to higher brackets and have good enough gear.

As for the gunner being viable in 3v3, all classes are viable in 3v3 for Revelation. It is not as much of a "Rock-paper-scissors" pvp system as most other MMO's. What matters more is the match-up of the game. Gunners are vulnerable to melee, but a good gunner can kite. And if the Gunner has a Vanguard on their team, the Vanguard can pin melee down (allowing Gunner to do massive DPS).

yes i am. its going to be my replacement for ranger. I've read up on people switching to that sniper stance but i'll probably try to theorycraft a viable dual pistol build for it. Once i get a clear skill translation.

Hey, when it comes to PvP/duels, is this Vanguard built for tank or DPS? How is a DPS Vanguard in PvP, thanks for any answers
Hello there, in the video, it's built for tanking :), I tried a DPS build and it is not much different. It's still a lot less DPS than actual DPS classes. Just some changes with skill attribute distribution for more offensiveness and more power stat. I tried this at level 53, I am not sure how different it is in higher level.
There´s a guide or something for noobs cause I don´t have any idea how to play the game. Would you help me with it?

both are good, very similar playstyle in PVP, but different roles. Vanguard's skills are VERY effective in PVP. They are notorious as being a GREAT pvp class. It really depends on gear, skill, and other things tho.

I'm between Vanguard and Occultist and I want to ask you a couple of questions about vanguards (I'm looking forward large scale pvp and BGs).
Since old L2 times, I haven't seen yet a tank class which can "tank". Either they die too quickly or they can just be ignored. There are problems like that here with vanguards?
Looking for info I saw vanguard's cons are slow movement and "low" magic defense. is it that true? And are there more cons?
And my last questions :P What are the strong and weak points about vanguards according to your point of view?

Doubt it, newer k/cmmos are becoming pay to look pretty, even so the NA/EU team can change some stuff so if its p2w the NA/EU can have it f2p with a cash shop to bring in money
Most of the games if not all of them that come from the East to the West end up being pay to win in some way or another, different people have different standards on what P2W is for them.
Personally i'm hoping the game doesn't provide advantages or tons of convenience to players who spend money but i've hoped for that with many other titles in the past >.>

This occultist is too bad - he just stay at one place and try to cast xD not in this game lol
The occultist we used for the video is under level 49, so a lot of the skills we have are stand-still skills. Level 49 we can access to the special attributes that make skills better and make using them a lot easier. :)
