Such good technique on those long turns, amazing because you are not just riding fresh groomed runs, but showing that good technique also works perfectly in slushy, bumpy, end of the day runs as well.
Been riding a +15/-15 and +18/-12 since I started 4 year's ago. I went ham and rode +28/+12 today just playing around and the heelside turn's feel so much better!🤙
He is pressuring feet independent for the start and end. Then you have pressure equalize between feet completely even as you transfer the energy from your board flex into edge control. To board flex to edge control. You will dip your front foot when initiating the turn then back off and slam your back knee into the center of your board and create a flex in your board around the corner that is carvings "ollie" where it will sling shot you into your next edge. You catch it with your edge and equal pressure to transfer the energy and then sling shot to the next turn and "ollie"
"Lifting toes" etc will happen naturally with good form in your balance and edge control. This is just nuances that develop over time on a board naturally... basically

Later as you do more free ride carving and edge control, you will find a much more secure means of handling carves on free rides by starting high and then building pressure on your edge as you squat into it. It will actually create more power in your carve, just takes alot more practice to get the feel.
@@dootdoot1867 That tip is derived from Ryan Knapton and some his tutorials. Probably as 'pro' as a carver can get. Those ques are great though, i just don't agree with you entirely. You can go through those ques you mentioned while in the bottom position of an athletic press/push into the board. I dont think it feels as 'good' to initiate my turns with my head then progressively to my feet. All you need to do is de-camber the board to press the edge into the snow to begin the carve. @@proflex310 huh? This is what carving is. Digging the biggest trench you can. Using the flex and energy of your board and the edge to sling shot you around corners. Skidded turns and washout is not carving.
Please people dont do carving on the entire width of the slope (4:55), there's nothing more annoying than that! Look at the skier that has to slow down because that annoying move breaks his line. It's very dangerous for you and very annoying for other people so please forget it, thank you!
he has right of way because he is in front so skier has to yield to him. Skiers use the entire slope as well and should be able to do so. People should be able to ride how they wish. We will never forget. Go home

Is difficult to ride switch when u have +28/+12 stance?
@@tonyyyam Yeah it is. It's more like riding "backwards" than riding "switch" if that makes sense.

Awesome video!
What bindings do you suggest? Could you list your top 3?

Am I mistaking? Or you put pressure on your back foot 🦶🏻 and knee?
Also do you work with your feet, lifting up toes and heels?
Thanks!!!
