I agree; those corporations getting their advertising at the competition know how many people watch the competition and it just seems to be getting bigger.
Brian Shaw seems like a really lovely, genuine guy. Same for Hafthor. Don't know much about the others. I think its mostly a gentlemans sport. If you have so much strength, humility is so important too.
The fact that Brian is even continuing to compete in light of his hamstring being blown out is to a testament to how great he is. Respect Brian & wishing you good health for future competitions!

Its like that in every unpopular sport. The publicity simply isnt there, so there isnt as much money, as in football, F1 or basketball. Take mountainbike downhill for example. First place in a mens world cup race will only get you 3750$, so even if you won every race of the season, you still couldnt cover your racing expenses without a sponsor, let alone make a living, but you put your health at risk all the time. As a junior or woman the price money is even less. In these nieche disciplines you simply rely on sponsors.
I saw that old man in many arnold videos before, never imagined he was the man behind many of the most impressive strength tests that have ever been seen, today I can say that I added another hero to my pantheon of heroes. Thanks for everything Terry, rest in peace.
I love watching strongman competition and highly respect the power these men emit from their bodies. I have worked very hard to get strong and in shape in my life and these men are just absolutely several levels above the average and even what is considered strong men in society. Incredible to watch.

Injuries fckn suck. Take the fun out of everything. I try my damndest to not have any favorites that way i enjoy it when any of them do good and i dont have any negative feelings. I really really wanted to see shaw perform st his peak, i just hope his mind can take this okay. I would fckn loose my mind to get injured at this moment.

Is it just me or has Kieliszkowski seemed off this time? I've only seem him at a couple of events but something just seems off about him through this arnold.
I think after one of his DL he showed strain on one of his legs.. I believe he has a hamstring injury.. such a pity.. but he will learn and come back stronger 💪🇮🇪🇲🇨
He wasn't training for like 3 weeks before the Arnold because of some leg injury (he partially tore his quad or so). Well, maybe next year he (and a few other guys) will be more lucky.

There is a problem with the points for Thor. He should be at 37.5 because the top 4 of this event split the points 8.5 each. So from his previous total of 29, he should be at 37.5 not 40.5
@@drawmaster77 I don't think that's a fair statement. Brian Shaw is almost as big as Thor, but not as strong. Sure there is also an age difference, and Brian had to opt out because of injury. But if you look at the competitions before this, Thors strength has been steady increasing.

That would not work. Deadlifting after taxing your body with the other events is dangerous. Plus records would never fall.
Max deadlift is usually put at the start of an event/day for a reason.
