What a fascinating bit of history you have found there. I think you have done well finding out what you have. I've driven around Rhos Road many times in the past and I have never known about this one. Always intrigues me how many little industries were scattered around our countryside and towns. Wouldn't it be lovely to go back in time and see them all working.
Thanks. Yes it's been such a surprise to find these quarries and works, didn't realise there was any industry at all around these places. There is so little out there as regards information. It would be really good to be able to see them in their heyday
Yup - 'Eu' in North Walian Welsh generally rhymes with the 'ay' in 'hay' so 'ay-rin' is right 🎉❤ That asides, really cool video. Dunno if CCBC archives would have any further info on it. And also be interesting to see how many Rhos locals know about this! I've lived round the general area nearly 10yrs and had no idea.
@JobeyCymru thanks. Unfortunately my Welsh pronunciation isn't the best. It would be interesting to see how many have heard of it. It seems to have been disused by 1870s so hopefully memories may have been passed down the generations
Great video. I've been interested in finding out more of this railway for a little while. I have some local history books that I can send you pictures of it you're interested? Including a map
Enjoyed this one immensely.
Thanks very much for watching
Great video!
Thanks!
Decent place to see orchids in spring 👍
And the seals

I think that the pronunciation of Euryn is Ayrin rather than Urin. You've a genius for choosing wet days for your explores! All the best for 2025.
Seasons greeting's! I always pick a good day! Yes seems my pronunciation was wrong on this one unfortunately
