Great job on the Merc and nice stash adds! I reentered the hobby a few years back and I've only been building seriously for ~ 4 years. In the last couple years, I decided to change my build focus from concentrating on just finishing the build to detailing each part, then building components in modular form then assembling all the components into the final product. I hope that's a somewhat clear explanation and it works for me.
Really REALLY cool stash there Chuck! I can’t wait to see that Merc when it’s complete. I dig that color scheme. I built the 49 Merc as a teen back in high school and it was one of my favorite builds back then. Shaved emblems, baby moons, purple with tan interior. I have one stashed away and I was excited to see you were doing this. I might be inspired to break mine out in the next…couple years or so. 😂 Keep up the good work, do what makes you happy and I will enjoy this crap 💩 😂😂😂 ✌🏽😎👍🏾
Every single color choice on the Merc is ON POINT! The yellowing is puzzling. It looks as though it’s pooling. I think you can cut it down by wet sanding.
Unique color on the Merc. The yellowing is from heavy clear, typically only see it with 1K type clears, don't think I've seen it from a 2K before. Should be able to wetsand most of it out. Would like to see the comparison on the Revell Germany/US Camaros.
Merc is looking good. I personally like all kinds of stuff would get into building Warhammer figures but them things are crazy high priced where I see them.
Cool stash adds! The Merc is looking good. I Think the yellowing in your clear is from the paint sagging. Take it from someone who is a pro at runs in the paint. Look foward to seeing the Mustang builds. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tip.i did read that an acrylic urethane will turn yellow if you lay it on a lil thick which I did.i placed an order with tropical glitz to buy a urathane solid that should solve the issues
Great looking Mercury dude!! Look forward to seeing it finished up!
Thanks bud
