Great story. Always read the whole garage sale ad. Born and raised in KC and hung around KCIR. Never saw this car but I enlisted in the Navy in '72. Nice that the original owners were reunited, tip of the hat to Mr. Hannum.
Simply wow, great story. I will be 62 this October and I literally grew up in the back of a push truck at Lions Drag Strip. With the Butters and Jerard fuelie. Great memories and I am totally digging your story. Amazing
When I meet Tom at a car show and heard the story of how he brought the dragster back to life then reunited the car with the original owners, I knew others would appreciate it as well! Thanks for watching!
Excellent job preserving Drag racing History and t reunite the car with the original old guy was priceless beautiful story I love the old FED since I was a kid.
After meeting Scott at a car show and hearing the story about how he found, restored and reunited the original owners with their front engine dragster, I knew it needed to be captured and shared. Glad you liked the video and thank you for watching!
The vintage Martin & Smith dragster would require numerous updates to bring it up to current NHRA Safety Standards so for now people get to enjoy hearing a piece of drag racing history run as a Cackle car. I'll have a new video up soon about another vintage dragster Scott and the Kerstiens brought back to life and are currently running down the track...

It is AWESOME !!! Love it when history comes back to life !!
Great vid. Even cars that are not world famous have a story and people behind them. This car / story would be great on Jay Leno's Garage.
Great idea! A Cackle Car on Jay's show would be fantastic!
Whoever made the video, never never forget that even the finest music never holds a candle to Nitro Cackle !!!
