You guys should do a pod race. The rules are that you must fly, cannot go above the track, and you must have any and all forward thrust detached from your seat (meaning wherever your thrust may be must have a loose connection to where your seat is placed) and as a bonus reference, you would have tapebots colored beige sitting atop mountains, with each of you required to have a bomb in each thruster. They would be the Tusken Raiders.
Multiplayer monday idea. Bot battles... Do it like 4 army's with everyone a different color. You get 50 "points". Greenie= 2 points, haybot=5 points, tape bots also 5 points, expoloding tape bots = 10 points, big bot=10 points. You then make "bases" with a core that if destroyed you loose or if you run out of units you loose. Do it on a large tile. Make vehicles to direct your units or air drop them near the enemy's base. You must only build at your base not on the field. Only rules no glitches and no messing with each others units other then your base defenses. You need a plane, car, base, defenses, and finally a commanding "cart" no guns on the cart it is only used to direct forces. Imagine the plastic Solider games but more activity. Hope you see this and give it a try.
Use a sensor and spudgun on the Farmbot capsule, drop by breaking cardboard & set sensor to fire when a couple of blocks from the ground. Also can use 4 Tapebots as 1st wave of a load, drop them from a distance as ranged support.
A solution to fall damage is instead if dropping the bots directly off the ship, drop rings with the capsules inside and have a sensor detect the ground and trigger a spud gun. This way the bots only really fall freely 5-10 blocks off the ground instead of whatever height the ship is at. This also removes limitations on how high you can fly so you can drop bots off from the skybox.
I still think Tape Bots would be much more effective overall, due to the amount you can drop. Having any sort of distance with a lot of tape being shot would annihilate anything before it gets close, and being able to spread them out around a area means you can gain a lot of area just with ranged damage

Great concept! For a follow up: Would the pods break from fall damage? If so you could just drop the whole pod with cardboard detachable block system to avoid fall damage. If that works maybe even drop them the right way up so they don't ragdoll and are instantly able to fight!

You could use the haybot pitchfork as a construction block if you need to spawn something with 2 separate parts because it auto deletes. Eg tank treads, or attaching an explosive to a catapult or something. It'll disconnect automatically.

Hey scrap to make the bomber universal find how many thrusters are needed to lift each bot and them add those up and put those on,then let’s say the greenies need four thrusters, hey bots need six and farm bots need ten. So u would add 20 thrusters on and have three different buttons depending on the bot ur dropping, so like if ur dropping greenies u would only have 4 out of the 20 thrusters on. I'd say we need something like a Capsule Gun to get Bots to help you defend raids xD the costs of it should be worth it. Like getting it by the trader, but for 8 Broccoli, 8 Pineapple and like 4 caged Farmers or something like that
You HAVE to do a Bot bomber challenge multiplayer video! You could build simple bot bombers, and then try to take out either "waves" of bots similar to the tower defense video, or you could try bombing someone who is in a vehicle. Or of course something similar to that! Just an idea!

Have thrusters and release guns on the capsules, for lifting them and removing them. Have a system, that only relases one of the bots at a time (but you can of course release more if you want by clicking multiple times. By doing this, you wil not fly nearly as uneven, if bots are not released symmetrically, and you will therefore be able to not waste 4 bots on a single target. edit: instead of attaching trusters and release guns to the capsule itself, have them on the frame, and instead of the input going directly to them, have them go to seperate and gates, with the other input to the and gates being a sensor, that checks, if a bot is still attached. edit2: I haven't played the game and experimented with it's physics, so idk if this will work well.
WAIT, scrapman video idea: Bot cannon People could try and launch bot capsules at each other, you might even build defenses in teams, then the teams will launch bot capsules at each other, and whoever holds out the best wins, there could be rules for what type of spudgun you could use, you could even build traps.

You can probably experiment with automatically pulsing you thruster output in a sequence depending on how many bots remain on your flyer. That way, you don't have these huge jumps when you release them.

Multiplayer Monday Idea: everyone builds a base and then builds a flyer. you start at your base with the flyer go to the middle of the arena and pick up as many bot spawners as you can and then drop the bot/bots on another players base. The flyer would also have to have a claw to grab the bot spawners. You could also change the flyer to a car, truck, etc.

Make a droppable platform that when it reaches the ground opens the capsules. That way you don't have to worry about fall damage. Also you can then easily make two flying modes. One with the weight and one after the drop so it switches automatically during the drop

You know, most bombers drop their bombs intact and allow them to explode on impact. You are exploding them mid air. So,the question is, do capsules take fall damage? If so, add a cardboard block. If not, use sensors or timers to deploy a spud gun after release. You can also add thrusters to the capsules, so that your additional thrust to lift them is also disposed of when you don't need it any more.
if i recall correctly, the farmbots are the only ones that take fall damage... so i think bombing with the others vs having them on the ground shouldnt really matter too much, except they have the advantage of not ragdolling
To avoid fall damage when bombing with the farmbot, can you somehow release the entire capsule rather than destroying it with your vehicle? Will the act of hitting the ground break their container open?
I feel like if you wanted to make it function properly, maybe make pods that detach from the drone with altitude sensors that activate a spudgun to open the spawner once they reach the ground and maybe a thruster that stays on so the pods don't go through the ground when they land then the thruster deactivates once the pod touches the ground. Not sure how possible it would be for the thruster to only be on once the pod detaches, maybe a sensor pointing at the drone's frame...
I think if you used, more, weaker thrusters you might be able to make it so your thrust decreases as the bots are dropped, that way you don't rocket away after a run
It would be better if you made a parachute equipped capsule wich you filled up with bots and programed it so the parachute opens (rotates the wing peaces 90* in opposite directions so the parachute does not flip due to the wings) and make the capsule open up when the sensors detect the grownd!

The pitch fork disappearing could actually be pretty useful. You could have a creation automatically detach from the lift when it's spawned in.

You have to attempt to recreate the Perseverance landing, this part made me think of the sky crane manoeuvre: 17:05
The seats before Survival actually have more max connections than modern level 5. Try taking the seat from an old creation if that ever happens again.
A suggestion: For the heavier bots, maybe have thrusters fire downwards to combat the upwards fling?

You can also add thrusters to the capsules, so that your additional thrust to lift them is also disposed of when you don't need it any more.
if i recall correctly, the farmbots are the only ones that take fall damage... so i think bombing with the others vs having them on the ground shouldnt really matter too much, except they have the advantage of not ragdolling
You could add some logic and sensors to not use certain thrusters if not carrying bot pods?
To avoid fall damage when bombing with the farmbot, can you somehow release the entire capsule rather than destroying it with your vehicle? Will the act of hitting the ground break their container open?
I think a cool idea would be to make a capsule that falls down slowly and after it hits the ground opens

The farmbot can be used as a sacrificial bot which in a bigger field of opposing bots is pretty good
the farmbot would probably be more effective if you used wing blocks, a timer, and a spudgun to make it fall slow and open lower than you're flying

I feel like if you wanted to make it function properly, maybe make pods that detach from the drone with altitude sensors that activate a spudgun to open the spawner once they reach the ground and maybe a thruster that stays on so the pods don't go through the ground when they land then the thruster deactivates once the pod touches the ground. Not sure how possible it would be for the thruster to only be on once the pod detaches, maybe a sensor pointing at the drone's frame...

You should add extra thrusters that are connected to another button so you can have extra thrust if you need it
I think if you used, more, weaker thrusters you might be able to make it so your thrust decreases as the bots are dropped, that way you don't rocket away after a run
Using altitude you can use the farmbot as a delayed bomb to wait for a while before exploding after hitting the ground
It would be better if you made a parachute equipped capsule wich you filled up with bots and programed it so the parachute opens (rotates the wing peaces 90* in opposite directions so the parachute does not flip due to the wings) and make the capsule open up when the sensors detect the grownd!
