    Most useful advice for this problem that I've seen. The hardest part is figuring out where to put the support.

    T
    Really good information on how to pinpoint the area on the underside of the insert. Takes the guess work out of the correct alignment.

    Thank youThat was very very helpful. Foam sheets with tape , foam sheets with adhesive backing,felt rolls with adhesive backing and U shape callous pads work well with this. I had a diabetic foot ulcer the I believe was caused by dropped metatarsal head . It got infected but thank God it healed. I found your channel by looking for ways to keep it from getting re-injured this was very helpful thank you

    Of all the videos I've watched and doctors I've been to this was by far the most helpful thank you so much! When your feet won't let you do what you want to do is frustrating especially when it is due to pain

    Your explanation of Nerve impingement (Morton’s Neuroma) is an eye opener, with regards to narrow shoes.

    Very helpful, never had this pain before and I used a gel heel pad that I cut up and stuck with double sided carpet tape

      Yes, it's called "Canadian raising." Before I saw Barrie and Orillia in the channel title, I knew Ryan was a fellow Canadian. It seems to be more pronounced in/typical of southern Ontario, but we do it here on the west coast too. :)

    What if I just feel numbness between first 2 toes . Its only during a run. It goes away when i walk. Any other time I don't feel anything (barefoot, and shoes) I've tried getting a wide toebox running shoe, different lacing techniques.

    Thanks for the video. Is a pad going to uncomfortable running? Is this only for walking around? I'm having itching and nerve pain where my toes meet my foot (metatarsal area). No callouses, no redness, no blood circulation problems. I was overweight and have dropped 15 pounds, but I can only do it running, and I'm just up to 4 miles. I didn't notice the problem when I was only running 3 miles. Which orthidic would you recommend considering this "diagnosis"?

    Can you suggest what we can do with sandals. In Australia we live in then eight months a year and inserts don’t stay in. Many thanks.

      My podiatrist put a felt metatarsal pad directly on my keen sandals when I had a neuroma. It stayed very well.

    Would you recommend the Zentoes metatarsal pad/socks as a temporary fix??

    • @akeleven

      They helped me some but I needed something thicker in a particular place and it's hard to layer up with other pads.

    Any idea why I can wear flip flops and experience little to no discomfort?

    • @desireesmart1182
      @desireesmart1182 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have been living in flip flops for years and whenever I have to wear boots or any other shoes, I am in pain. Flip flops are the answer but can't wear them year round or for working around horses so I suffer much of the time. Just got custom orthotics but not working as well as I had hoped. Also went to a pediatrist who gave me the pads but it's not 100% either. Don't know what else to do!

    • @joneskam6922
      @joneskam6922 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@desireesmart1182 , I have found a chiropractor who has been treating me with what's called TRT. It's a ultrasonic treatment that causes your body to create new stem cells to the affected area, this healing/repairing your nerves and other damaged tissues. It's a slow process, but it's working!!!!
