Jesus god almighty that is a stratocaster. Mark always plays well but you can tell when he is crushing on a guitar (see the 345 earlier this week) because he plays with the blood. I bet he will shed a tear when it goes out the door later. But at least he got to play it. Great job. And of course happy birthday to Norm!
That guitar probably has at least 5,000 gigs and god knows how many jams, rehearsals and ripping-in-the-cellar hours on it. Heavy relic the real way - by the hands of players for 53 years, and their blood sweat and tears on it and in it. Magnificent example of a working man's instrument, still fully functional and classic. A '65 Strat through a '65 Deluxe Reverb (even if it is a reissue)? This is the sound all Strat players crave. Plug it in, turn it up, play, smile.
Probably my favorite demo you ever did Mark. VERY deserving of that guitar. And Happy Birthday Norm! Read your book over the Christmas break. Surpassed all expectations, which were already very high. An amazing story and legacy. THANK YOU!
Now this guitar is surely from a different stratosphere as it has been picked on and jammed hard throughout the sands of time finally making its way home safely into the hands of the greatest guitar shop of rareness the world famous Norman's rare guitars
I was all set to be pissed if he didn't play any SRV and then he goes and plays my favorite Stevie Ray tune couldn't stand the weather. And that thing sounds killer you can really tell Mark was having fun .
#Straturday #Norms69th #Fender65beatToShit 1)Couldn’t Stand the Weather/SRV 2) Who do you think I was/John Mayer 3)Give it Away/RHCP 🌶 DREAM GUITAR 🎸 HBD NORM!!! Mark SRV was killer Hi Jen 🎥🎸
B-day acknowledgement again from me to Norm!(mine is June 13th btw..:-))1.SRV "Couldn't Stand The Weather" 2. John Mayer "Who Did You Think I Was " 3. The Red Hot Chili Peppers "Give It Away" M.A you a funky bastad especially today!:-0
Mark may be laying down the guitar playing chops, Jen shooting and editing, but a HUGE shout out to Norm for making this possible. Happy birthday Norm!
All I gotta say about that strat is that..."I got half a smile and zero shame" for this one. Thanks for the JM3!!!! Finally, and it's totally in your wheelhouse Mark because you rocked it! Great guitar, seriously.
Niiiice Strat indeed!! We all need to hear more survivors through more amps!! Can you imagine this Strat going through a vintage Vibroverb? Sweeeet!!!! Greetings from Montreal!!
mark! dude... what that actual F ! way to crush the SRV. you can really tell you you are inspired by a magical ax, and that seems to be one of them. thanks to you and Jenfor making these videos and Happy Birthday to Norm!
Wow! Did anyone else see Agnesi become that guitar? The buttons and zipper taps on his leather jacket were even lining up to the worn spots. I think you could classify this as a "Jacket Worn Strat". Great playing Mark you are no doubt a true Strat-Cat! Lot of guitar left in that slab of wood
'65 Strat this week, '65 Strat last week, '65 Strat on your 400th episode. I'm thinking 1965 may very well be the most awesomest of years for Strats....just so happens to be my birth year too...YEAH!!!
That kind of wear is what I look for in a vintage guitar. God its awesome. I don't want a perfect '65 strat, I want one that's been around the block once or... 27 times.
Is it me, or does that thing just have honk/quack for days? LOVE it! Awesome Strat for Straturday! Bet this one doesn't stick around for very long. If it even made it to the end of GOTD!
That Strat is beat. My jaw hit the floor with the first note. What a fantastic sound. You are 100 % correct someone loved that guitar.

Great strat! Also am I the only one that wants to see a lesson video where Mark teaches Jen some easy songs so she can do a guitar of the day??
Emperor then Mark can say “hmmmmm” when the case is opened. #rolereversal 🤣
Emperor yes you are!!
Jen belongs behind the camera - it’s her job and the mystery
Emperor yes
Probably my favorite demo you ever did Mark. VERY deserving of that guitar. And Happy Birthday Norm! Read your book over the Christmas break. Surpassed all expectations, which were already very high. An amazing story and legacy. THANK YOU!
