      Well...idk as someone who is going to PhD and teaching classes I can tell you that a prof should always have a good way of communication. Repeating the same sentence over and over implies the severe lack of language and communication skills and should therefore be resolved. This was genuinely uselful feedback for a teacher, he should have taken the advice instead ....

      Newfield Charlotte It’s not the same sentence it’s the same transition. Also, there’s not much to replace it with except maybe conversely, contrarily, to paraphrase, to put it simply, etc but rly the two transitions r enough to convey his message. What matters more is the content of the course.

    0:55 Student has a point. Most professors are research junkies have little to no real-world experience in the industry. Theory and practicality are two completely different things.

      yeah but the things they teached you have been learned by people who actually have had experience, you really think in harvard they gon teach you stuff that that dosen't work in reality, engineers and programmers don't graduate and get paid a shit ton of money because they've been taught some theory of how stuff works.

    Most of my professors at Wharton were data crunchers and lacked real-life experience working in the corporate world.

    I always suspected that at least some Wharton students were weenies, and now there's proof. Back when, such complaints were aired only to friends at Smoke's or Doc Watson's. (C-'78)

      Strictly speaking that's correct, but the award is based upon the British Victoria Cross.

    not gonna lie there are some terrible teachers, I had the worst comm teacher last semester, he was always angry at everyone, and graded hard on purpose. I think he wanted everyone to fail his class.

    Professors have no sense of themselves. They just need an audience. I should know. I am married to one. He won't retire either because I have heard all of his stories over the 22+ years that we have been together. He needs a fresh audience every semester.

    in teaching, your intelligence play only 20-30% role. if you want to be a great teacher; embrace your students, love them, motivate them, crack some jokes with them and allow them to feel free and comfortable with you.. by being strict, we are not going to achieve anything in the class..
