Thank you Jesus for laying down YOUR life for THIS lost sheep! After 3 abortions I was so lost and hopeless. But I’ve been saved and the gospels show me how to live a different, very abundant life. Now, I’m serving through my TH-cam videos, showing the healing path after abortion.
Let me guess - Church of Christ. You want him to say that water baptism is required for salvation. While Christians SHOULD be baptized as an act of obedience and an outward symbol for our inward faith and salvation that we ALREADY HAVE by grace through faith, it plays no part in our actual salvation. Otherwise, the terminally ill who accept Christ but are not able to be baptized, or those who die before they can be baptized (like the repentant thief on the cross), would be lost. Baptism is IMPORTANT, but is not part of our salvation.
@@Oandad My apologies, but many interpret Mark 16:16 to mean people must be baptized in order to be saved. Of course, exorcising demons and faith healing are still controversial for modern Christianity, but I'm not willing to dismiss them outright.
@@lawrencehorner8418 Am I reading it wrong because I interpreted it like this? Christian believers should be able to cast out demons and heal the sick. I'm only asking because, have you seen all the demons out there in the world today?
@@Oandad I'm not saying you are reading it wrong. I was just pointing out that a lot of Christians are so-called "cessationists" in that they believe the miraculous powers early Christians had - such as casting out demons, healing the sick, performing miracles, and speaking in tongues - were only for that era, and that nowadays we only have preaching and teaching since we now have God's completed word in the form of the Bible. I don't necessarily believe this, but I am skeptical of many of the charismatic practices.

What about the rest of Jesus's words in Mark 16: 16 to 18. What was he saying?

Mark a Christian? No, he was a Jew
He may have been born a Jew but he was a follower of Jesus as a his disciple, which makes him a Christian.
