I started RLM with Half in the Bag, and over the course of watching all these Best of the Worst's, I've come to really love and respect Rich Evans. He's so hilarious, in some really subtle ways, like just the perfect way he conveys being downtrodden and beaten by life at the beginning of the video, or how he reads the ridiculous back-of-the-box lines. His banter with Jay was particularly on-point, they work well together. Is this what Stockholm Syndrome is like?
I started out with "Half in the Bag" as well, but got fed up with it in the end as most of the time it's now them moaning about Hollywood's flagpole and franchise films. "Best of the Worst" is great fun, though!
Andrew Gwilliam Half in the Bag is still worth it, it's much more amusing these days compared to the early ones, you can tell Mike and Jay are getting sick of watching the same crap and having to complain. Also definetely watch the one about Mr. Plinkett and Jay's wedding, and the volcano demon, and Mr. Plinkett's son also played by Rich Evans.

The name 'Worth Keeter' is so weird that, even years after watching this episode, it immediately stood out when I saw it in (of all things) the credits for 'The Taking of Deborah Logan'. Apparently he was one of the assistant directors. Such a strange trajectory for his career.

I was engaged to William T. Hicks long after he made this movie was a wonderful actor and was actually the best actor in the film. He was also a best friend of Larry Sprinkle of Charlotte NC channel nine news. His wife before he met me died of cancer and he was the best thing in the world to me. He was an amazing person and could actually do 5+chracters at a time when cutting commercials. He was just cast with the wrong actors. He also did the very first buffalo wing commercial for Bojangles, but it did not air because he died of a massive heart attack before he had a chance to see it. But if you call The owner of Bo's he will tell you all about it. If he had lived long enough he had been cast in something other than B movies while trying to care for a dying wife he would have been something special. Plus he did the Cuts for many cars back in the '70s. Order of The Black Eagle and he also starred in many other movies and was also part of the cast of Bonanza and Gunsmoke.
I have never felt as conflicted about an editing decision as I did with the running over the head loop. On one hand, I was laughing my ass off. On the other hand, I honestly wanted nothing more than for it to stop.
My friend and I were extras in The Order of the Black Eagle in the scene with the Laser scientist being introduced at the U.N. or something. We did not make in on screen though. The ninja scene was filmed in a little elementary school somewhere in the NC mountains.

I can't believe this episode is nearing 5 years old. It's definitely one of the best episodes of BOTW, and I seriously can't believe I've been watching the channel for so long on top of that

I argue that he was a D to -C. Yeah he was found not guilty in the murder trial but everybody knows he was responsible in some way, if not guilty. He still was found guilty in the civil suit I think. He barely got away with it, so in a way he almost failed. You cant get much worse than that. An A class murderer would be someone like the Zodiac. Nobody knows who the hell he was.
I think Mike was going for a subtle reference to the film Misery when he lied and said that the old lady broke the kid's legs in Wired to Kill. He was probably hoping somebody would say, "Fuck you, that's from Misery, this isn't Misery!" so that he could respond, "This film *was* misery." But nobody got it.
I love that Jay pulled out the Pac Man ponchos and they both opened them, but as soon as Rich put his on he just cast his aside and let Rich look like a lone asshole.
I think it was the small tire size combined with the soft sand and the speed that allowed him to escape injury. I'm setting up a recreation in my yard to see how my own head holds up.

We randomly stumbled onto Raiders of Atlantis a few years ago and have watched it twice with the same drinking game rules. You drink every time someone dies, every time there's an explosion, every time they mention Atlantis and every time Crystal Skull comes on screen. Strongly recommended.

I feel like the original screenplay was this mature themed post-apocalypse story where Steve had a supporting role as a Mad Max's Q and it was bought by some Stoklasa-level studio hacks and turned the movie into a weird atonal Home Alone gritty reboot.
Wired to Kill's scenario of quarantine towns of gangs that go out to rob the surrounding towns is a perfect setup for the non-Atlantis Raiders remake. Combine two bad movies into one good one!
You know, Wired to Kill is actually made fascinating by the how good Emily Longstreth was in it. While everyone else is hamming it up, she plays it straight and is really damn good at portraying the horror of it all. What results is a genuinely horrendous trip that tries to be fun but borders on effective torture porn. And even that is not nearly as depressing as the rumours about her fate :(
Connor Jones Lol to me was. It was so gratuitous that they knew it would irritate half the people watching, but they committed to the bit. They also knew that a lot of people (myself included) would automatically count along with the first run, so it feels even more jarring and absurd when they start it over. I was watching this episode again today, and my favorite segment is Wired to Kill on this episode. there's a lot of crazy shit in this episode but that movie, at least the way they depict seeing it, is really disturbing. I decided to look it up because there's a guy they keep showing who looks like Tiny Lister (the guy who yells "I got it! What the fuck was it?" after shooting the robot). Turns out it is Tiny Lister (most well known probably now for his role in The Dark Knight as the large inmate who refuses to blow up the other boat- he died in 2020 at 62). There's a couple noticeable "bad movie" stars of the 80s in this film besides Tiny Lister. Frank Collison (who actually has been in more recent stuff- bad movie fans may recognize him as the Hot Dog guy in The Happening- he's still alive which I mention because it will become apparent a bunch of these people died), Richard Kim Milford (bad movie fans would recognize from Laserblast- sadly Wired to Kill was one of his last movies he died young in 1988 during heart surgery), and Merritt Butrick (most notably known for his roles in multiple early Star Trek films as Dr. David Marcus- he also died very young at 29 and this was one of his last films as well). Emily Longstreth (Becky) is still alive as far as I know, but from my research things have not gone well for her in the real world. Her last role was in 1994 (long after Wired to Kill which I would argue she did too good a job in a movie that entirely abused and exploited her). No one entirely knows what really happened to her, but if you google her there is a Quora board that shows someone claiming to be an ex family member (an ex of Emily's brother) explained that Emily developed severe mental issues in her late 20s and had been in and out of homeless shelters. It's one of those things you cannot verify but appears to be true given the way it was written. If it is true it would seem her real life is very sad much like her character in Wired to Kill. I think Wired to Kill would be a better movie (not including the fact that in the middle of the movie we miss a large chunk of what was supposed to happen) if it ended with her killing Steve and then leaving. Anyway, sorry to be a bummer, although that movie kind of is already, but I have been fascinated with that movie since first seeing this episode and did not see anyone else talk about it (everybody talks about the guy getting his head run over in the episode which is also a fascinating story which you can read about in other comments).
Thanks for sharing the findings of your research. As inhumanly godawful as so many of these movies are, they're often less interesting than the stories from behind the scenes and/or the stories of the people involved in their making. Whatever may have become of Ms. Longstreth, I hope she's found peace.

I think it's funny that Raiders of Atlantis says 4 stars with no citation... and yet it's still 4 stars instead of 5. You gave your movie a rating, whatever rating you wanted, and even then didn't give it 5/5. It must really be that bad.
4/5 is a more believable rating than 5/5 and probably would convince more people to buy it.

I was watching this episode again today, and my favorite segment is Wired to Kill on this episode. there's a lot of crazy shit in this episode but that movie, at least the way they depict seeing it, is really disturbing. I decided to look it up because there's a guy they keep showing who looks like Tiny Lister (the guy who yells "I got it! What the fuck was it?" after shooting the robot). Turns out it is Tiny Lister (most well known probably now for his role in The Dark Knight as the large inmate who refuses to blow up the other boat- he died in 2020 at 62). There's a couple noticeable "bad movie" stars of the 80s in this film besides Tiny Lister. Frank Collison (who actually has been in more recent stuff- bad movie fans may recognize him as the Hot Dog guy in The Happening- he's still alive which I mention because it will become apparent a bunch of these people died), Richard Kim Milford (bad movie fans would recognize from Laserblast- sadly Wired to Kill was one of his last movies he died young in 1988 during heart surgery), and Merritt Butrick (most notably known for his roles in multiple early Star Trek films as Dr. David Marcus- he also died very young at 29 and this was one of his last films as well).
Emily Longstreth (Becky) is still alive as far as I know, but from my research things have not gone well for her in the real world. Her last role was in 1994 (long after Wired to Kill which I would argue she did too good a job in a movie that entirely abused and exploited her). No one entirely knows what really happened to her, but if you google her there is a Quora board that shows someone claiming to be an ex family member (an ex of Emily's brother) explained that Emily developed severe mental issues in her late 20s and had been in and out of homeless shelters. It's one of those things you cannot verify but appears to be true given the way it was written. If it is true it would seem her real life is very sad much like her character in Wired to Kill.
I think Wired to Kill would be a better movie (not including the fact that in the middle of the movie we miss a large chunk of what was supposed to happen) if it ended with her killing Steve and then leaving.
Anyway, sorry to be a bummer, although that movie kind of is already, but I have been fascinated with that movie since first seeing this episode and did not see anyone else talk about it (everybody talks about the guy getting his head run over in the episode which is also a fascinating story which you can read about in other comments).
Thanks for sharing the findings of your research. As inhumanly godawful as so many of these movies are, they're often less interesting than the stories from behind the scenes and/or the stories of the people involved in their making. Whatever may have become of Ms. Longstreth, I hope she's found peace.
