When I was in 9th grade I got 1480 on the exam, and in 10th I got 1520. When I took the actual exam, I got 1580, so one question wrong, out of 154 questions. As well as that in America people put much more importance on other exams including subject tests, ap tests, and the ACT.

you can literally guess these questions if you dont get it in the uk if you get the right answer but the examiner doesnt like how you worked it out you can get 0
um that's not true. in GCSE's if u get a correct answer (for maths), u get all the marks regardless, the working out is if u dont get the correct answer they still award u marks for working out. u could get a 6 marker, and still score 3/6 or even 4/6 for correct working out

If students are applying to top colleges like Yale or WashU, they usually take 3 subject tests. SAT math subject test Level 2 is quite difficult and covers broad area--including statistics, polar coordinates, and matrices.

For example, my high school is a private school and our curriculum is more liberal and the school does allow students to choose what classes they want to take with the exception of some required classes. So, for matrices, I learnt it in Sophomore (when i was about 16 years old). SAT math subjects tests are mostly used for college entrance and not all schools require them. So, I didn't take it when I apply to colleges.

Where I live we literally get a question paper with some questions on it and we have to write them and solve them . we don't get multiple choices here . as for physics we have write the answers of short question which are about 3 to 5 lines and we also have to write long answers of some questions which like fills the whole page. It takes 2 hours or more to solve a exam
Any north american qualifications are easy, full stop. Most american uni grant 30-40% of final grades to attendance, to me American uni are mickey mouse uni if compared to british and asian but they are easy, useful and happy ones. i won't mind sending my kids to study in the US if i can afford.

You sit SATs and GCSEs at the same age though. So its the best comparison, AP exams should be compared to A-levels probably (I assume APs are age 17-18?)
What they took is a practice test. The actual SAT is 154 questions and an essay. We also have another placement test called the ACT which is harder and longer with 215 questions an an essay.

Okay, but it's 154 multiple choice questions plus an essay, and if you get one wrong you get an additional 1/4 or 1/3 point off (so if it was 10 questions, 1 wrong answer leaves you with an 8.75/10). If you guess on everything you're likely to net 0 points.

For number 5, aren't us supposed to get the sum of the equation (the three digits/conundrums first, then divide by the total quantity which is three in order to acquire the mean?
Yes, that's why 12 is the answer. When you add 12-n and 12+n, the ns cancel each other out and you get just 24, add the other 12 and it's 36. Divide 36 by 3 and you get 12.
@@minco04 I think you misunderstood. It's not a -1/4 like 9.75 out of 10. You lose the point and you lose an additional 1/4. So 8.75/10. If you answer enough wrong you can get a negative score.

@@e9cw196 SAT is an aptitude test, it’s not comparable to GCSE at all. You still have to sit exams for each of your subjects alongside the SAT.

Yes, but it is easier to notice that the number in the middle will obviously be the mean as the mean of two numbers is equidistant from both of them
