Great video. Some wicked cool looking cars. Really cool to see the little one's getting a ride, future racers right there. Shame to see Bad Penny hurt, but looks like you guys had a good time. thanks for sharing the video for us.

This is the best yet video u cats have made & I lv the all great American Drag Race on my favorite kind of Memorial day outing, rt-on & wish I was there & I thank ya cuz I’m a combat vet & I held my buddy n my arms when he died n 1969 ! 1stMarineDiv 1stBn/7thMarines 0331/8651 Recon Gorilla I rather watch ur videos than SouthEast Gassers video’s rt-on !
ahh the joys of drag racing a manual trans car. it always has you working on something. i love my 4 speeds too, but from experience drag racing manual trans cars, ditch the stick setup. install a th400 with a transbrake and you'll never want a stick trans for drag racing again. not to sound like a know it all here but the gears and sliders need replaced in that toploader, all the filing in the world wont fix them. and yes i watch all your great vids! keep it up guys!
What's your thoughts on building a 59 Edsel gasser? Found one real dang close to me. Perfect floors and just a few tiny rust spots. Old man wants $1,100 and I've got some cash burning a hole in my pocket.
go for it man! ive never seen one in person as a gasser but i bet it will be awesome, especially cuz u never see em thats what makes a great gasser something outside of the normal 7 cars people build,id price parts for it make sure u can get things for decent cost find you and old straight axle throw an engine in it and get out there and have some fun!.....justin
Gassers were everywhere in the 60's they would raise the front end to get the weight to the back wheels here's a link to a short history on them www.rodauthority.com/news/body-styles-what-is-a-gasser-and-where-did-it-come-from/
@@frigglebiscuit7484 It isn't BS. My dad was stationed in Cali after the war. Became a prominent gasser racer when he got home. Southern US did a alot for drag racing, but west coast promoted it becuase, well,it was the west coast.
@@superpoof the west coast didnt come up with it all though. thats what im tired of hearing. there was hot rodding in all states after the war. cali got the credit because cali was "cool".
Man! I hate that BP had problems. When yall get that tranny problem fixed, she's gonna be tuff! But great to see so many 3 pedal cars out there. (Anybody can drive a prindle). I'm sitting in the wings waiting patiently on Calamity Jane's return, so hang in there folks. Remember. You are a real as it gets!
Greer South Carolina It's in the upstate. The corner where NC,SC and GA come together. It's a great small town family owned track. I raced there in the late 80's and early 90's as well as the Atlanta Dragway but Greer was definitely my favorite!
Love seeing the kids get a ride in the hotrods that will be something they will never forget..
Thanks y'all for the trouble to bring us all this old school gasser footage! I really appreciate it.!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Right on! God bless America Bad Penny sounds so good!
I spent 27 yrs in the USN but I never died there. Thanks for your support. Well, I might have left my soul there but, that is not important.

absolutely. ive never seen one and it would be neaaat.
This jacked up front end look is interesting , unique to NC? They don’t look like that down here in S florida.
It was common in the 60's, and gassers made it iconic. It really started in Cali.

ya know, cali didnt start everything related to hot rodding....so tired of hearing that b.s.
