Hell I loved playing in water, as a kid, just never grew out of it. Used to build dams in streams, break them down to let the water go, build them up again. Age no problem !!. This would have been the finale of my dam work career. But now 80 years old, maybe best to watch younger folks , doing what I used to do.

I hate to see a beaver dam destroyed, but i guess it's necessary in some cases. It's just that I've caught some really nice trout in beaver ponds.

terrell - try pounding a pipe though the dam to undercut it - the water blows holes through the dam weakening the connective mud on the upstream side.

The way you were telling that branch that was dead and buried in the heart of the beaver dam to come out reminded me of Jesus in John 11:43 commanding Lazarus who was dead and buried to come forth! Praise be that we have an all powerful God who didn't have to pull but simply command Lazarus to rise and it was done. Isn't it wonderful to worship a God that could "Speak" the world into existence?

Neither do I intend to compare him with Christ but rather the words he chose simply reminded me of the biblical account when Christ commanded Lazarus to come forth. I have never met Terrell Spivey but through his preaching and the power of God it is possible for an old white man in Central Illinois to consider this young black farmer in North Carolina a brother. We have more in common than flesh and blood and the temporal things of this earth.

Why do you pull against the current? Stand on the backside and use the flow of water to help. Go with the flow don't fight it.

Have you tried Shotcut for video editing? As for that dam, I would have been sorely tempted to use the chainsaw a lot more on the back end. The front is mud, and more mud. Seems if you weaken the dam from the back, it might all let loose. Not that I am s dam removal expert. :)
