Dean Gruwell Congrats you won the Keitech Tackle Pack...please email me with your address. Thanks everyone for the comments and sharing! More contest to come! tspeedm@yahoo.com
My favorite keitech colors *not popular opinion are super shad/bluegill (not flash)/ sight green hologram/alewife. And with a weightless 4 inch easy shiner they get inhaled
Spent the weekend at the Columbus Ohio fishing expo. I thought it would help ease some of the fishing withdrawals. Boy was I wrong! Lol this happens every year and nothing helps. The good thing is. it's starting to warm up and the Ice is finally off! Fish On!
Beegeman down here in Ohio iced in and tying baits. just discovered your channel will share on my facebook and local club. Love me some Keitech swimbaits great advice on how to fish them. keep the tips coming. BJ Barnette
Man I really enjoy your video's very helpful & informative I shared your vid via e-mail. Not many smallies in SC but the spotted bass love those same swim baits! Thanks again for the time you take to help fisherman all around the country God bless you brother!! From South Carolina .
I want to say i'm really liking your videos! I'm also want to ask for some advice about fishing the lower Suquahana upper bay. This coming up season will be my first tournament season fishing from a kayak and fishing for smallmouth bass. My first tournament will be launching from Perryville Community Park and fishing Furnace Bay area. I would appreciate anything you could share with me.
Typically grass fishing in furnace bay. Chatterbaits and finesse plastics. Texas Rigged baits draggin around grass will be the key. Depending on time of year also could be a good frog bite in there.
*SET NOTIFICATIONS UP FOR NEW CONTENT ON THIS CHANNEL* Awesome content Travis! Shared on FACEBOOK. More people (especially northern anglers) need to watch this channel! From the breakdown series of videos about his financial side of angling, to the "how to" side of things...Travis isn't holding back people. I've seen him at a few weigh-ins and he is the most genuine guys you'll meet on tour. Probably the most relatable professional angling content out there for smallie guys and gals. HOPE YOU GET TONS MORE EXPOSURE. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO. *Dragging Keitech's for great lakes smallmouth is out of the bag now, you have to try it to believe the results folks* Thanks Travis.
I love the easy shiner that's squid scent is lethal. I have honestly never thought to fish these on a football head. Def. trying that in the spring. Great tip man
Hey Travis, good video on color selections....keepin' it simple. I shared the TH-cam link to your videos with my fishing buddies. Have been subscribed to your channel late last year after watching your video on the boat rescue on the Susky. Like you I can't wait for this winter to end.
Love the Kietech's.... Crappie, largemouth, smallmouth in our lakes and ponds as well as Striped Bass in the rivers and surf of New England! I cannot count how many schoolie size striped bass I have caught along the south shore of Rhode Island in the fall jigging a smoke/purple flake and rainbow shad 3.8" and 4.8" Fat style Keitech on light tackle..... Shared this via TH-cam as well as personal email Travis! Great video!
Enjoyed the content for the most part. At the same time it's a little tough to take seeing you (or anyone) opening large boxes full of free baits while the rest of us scratch to update our tackle boxes before and during the season.
Great video Travis. Kietechs are a big part of my smallmouth arsenal as well. Got my personal best last summer on a 3.8 keitech in AYU color I believe. I sent this video to a bunch of my fishing buddies using Facebook messenger. I sent them all the link to this particular video and told them that I'm a long-time subscriber to your channel because of the quality of the content you provide, specifically the smallmouth content. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together and I look forward to Future content. Nick
Love the video. Agreed with below comment(s), please share color, techniques for LMBs or spots using swimbaits. What a haul! I could never get that much in the mail ... it would break the bank. Keep the videos coming. :)
hey man I shared it to my facebook and twitter and great video love all the info and smallmouth bass are my favorite fish to catch so always looking for the best ways to catch them. where you talking about beign in harrisonburg VA or somehwere else?
Another great video Travis, keep them coming. Was trying to get to the show to see your seminars but couldn't make it happen. Shared the video on instagram. Ray
Shared on Facebook, also wanted to ask when you travel do you ever any trips where we can fish with you? I’ll never get up to the east coast but if your closer down south I’d like to fish with you on a guided trip.
Shared via text(sorry dont do social media). You said it brother getting thru the winter the spring prep and the little ice fishing I do keeps me semi sane
Sharing to my Instagram! Love your stuff man! Just discovered your channel so i spend these crappy winter days watching all your old videos. I’m in Wisconsin about 2 hours north of green bay so it’s cool to see you on the bay!
Hey I shared it on Facebook with my other email account and I hope it counts. On a side note, I also with you that the Goby color works. I was thinking about picking it recently too. It really reminds me of Wisconsin. I also live in NY, but am originally from WI and I simply love the fishing in WI.
Shared on Twitter and Facebook I just started using swimbaits on swinging football heads last fall dragging certain areas around Door County, WI with my kayak. I drag either by drifting or going about a half mile per hour by paddling slowly if there is no wind/current to push me. It works and I plan to do more of it this year. Prior to that I had been mostly been dragging a Ned rig. I will see how it goes next year, but the swinging football jig and swimbait combo may just replace the Ned as my favorite bait. Time will tell.
Hey Crush: For smallies, I switched from 3.8" Keitech to 3.8" Jackall RhythmWave Swimbaits and my success rate went way up. I've experimented with four of the RhythmWave colors so far and been happy with all four. If I had to pick only one, it would be RhythmWave "holo black". You're right; that black silhouette gets possibly the best reaction. I fish mostly in darker water (Ottawa River). Since black works so well for you in clear and for me in dark, maybe we should just stop buying the other colors and really simplify. But what's the fun in that, right? (shared by email)
Sign of a great video when every time a question pops in my head, you address it within 30 seconds. You're getting pretty good at this whole TH-cam thing haha!
Shared on Facebook, appreciate the content & insights. It was great meeting you today @outdoor show & the seminar was excellent with some nuggets I'll be sure to apply in pursuing smallmouths this season!
Hello Travis - new to your Chanel - enjoy it very much - only I’ve a serious question ( not trolling ) I’ve seen the crazy amount of tubes and swimbaits you have - why so many ? I understand your a tournament angler - only wow all that would last me 3 life times .. all due respect - why so many ?
I do have way to many....I love throwing them and am slightly addicted to the tackle. I am trying to narrow things down a bit. The swimbaits I do burn through them a lot from guiding so I do have to order a few of those boxes a year.
Shared on Facebook. Very informative video. You mentioned being from Wisconsin. Where in Wisconsin are you from. I'm half way between Madison and Milwaukee.
Hey Travis! Keitechs are great baits! Shared this vid on facebook! What is your fave color for Lake Champlain? You fished with my buddy Phil Wade on the Costa last year and he has shared some of your knowledge with me. Good luck to the soon to be 2019 season! What rod do you throw the 2.8 on?
I shared your videos on facebook. I enjoy your content. I live in Vegas and fish lake mead every saturday, crystal clear lake, I always have a swimbait tied on.
Awesome video Travis! Don’t have any social media but I’m always showing my buddies your videos! Just sent them all this video in our group chat hopefully that counts! Lol
