Well there is a highly likely theory that Jerry and Tom are actually best friends pretending to hate eachother so that Tom doesn't get replaced with a cat that actually wants to kill Jerry, thus the two sticking together in the mod.
The real story of Tom and Jerry is that Tom is a very intelligent house-cat that is directed by his owner to catch Jerry, while Jerry is just trying to survive as a rodent. Of course, Tom fails because despite him being smart, he isn't smarter than Jerry. Overtime they built a sort of relationship where Tom doesn't even really want to kill Jerry and is just scaring and fighting him. Jerry kind of cares about Tom, but again he's really only there for a place to stay and food.
Not to mention this corrupted Sonic is not the modern Sonic that we all know, he's actually from a TV show called 'Sonic Boom' which is obviously a kid show about Sonic and his friends. You can tell the difference between the modern version. For example, the 'boom' version has some bands around his shoes and his ankle.
Although sonic can outrun the corruption, he can also be kinda clumsy at times, I think he probably was running and tripped when the corruption unknowingly struck him, but that’s just my take on it
I’m surprised that jerry actually got caught because he’s has loads of tricks. But Tom it would easy for Tom to get caught because he’s the one who always falls for the trick.

My theory for why George jetson looks like how he does, he might have tried to escape the corruption but was hit by a car which forced him into it and it wasn’t sure what to do so it turned him into a spider, yes ik the body and the cars look very different but it could be possible

Twilight also has another friend along with the others I named who are also protagonists in the series who is named Pinkie Pie. Pinkie pie is the pink pony you see in the mod and her party cannon is a direct reference to her party canon in the my little pony: friendship is magic series. Though there’s some other major characters that aren’t shown as corrupted. Those characters are Spike (Twilight’s dragon assistant), Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Princess Cadence. If any of the Princesses were to be corrupted then they would be a huge threat, same thing with Twilight.
Itd be cool if some game characters would be in this too. Like for example the knight from hollow knight. And if it was in the game itd make sense that its not corrupted beacuse its beasically hollow, its a shell
