'Prepare for war with Russia' Nato in largest military drills since Cold War called Exercise Dragon

- Russia jammed signals on Defence Secretary Grant Shapps' plane, RAF pilots suspect.
The GPS and other signals were blocked for almost 30 minutes in an act of "electronic warfare".
It came as Grant Shapps flew past Kaliningrad, a Russian exclave neighbouring Poland.
The Sun's Defence Editor Jerome Starkey was onboard the RAF Dassault Falcon 900 at the time.
Shapps - a qualified pilot - was assured the electronic warfare attack did not affect the aircraft’s safety.
He was flying back from Poland’s Szymany airport after visiting British troops taking part in Steadfast Defender, the largest Nato war games since the end of the Cold War.
A defence source slammed the jamming as "wildly irresponsible".
They said: "While the RAF are well prepared to deal with this, it still puts an unnecessary risk on civilian aircraft and could potentially endanger people’s lives.
"There is no excuse for this and it’s widely irresponsible on Russia’s part."
The aircraft emblazoned with Union Jack livery flew within 60 miles of Russia's Kaliningrad exclave on its journey to RAF Northolt.

I don't think that applies here. Ukraine have significantly drained the Russian military assets. If NATO decides to fight Russia, war is already over for Russia.

Training for a scenario we are unlikely to see. If it comes to NATO boots on the ground in Russia, or Russian boots on the ground in a NATO country, things will go nuclear and infantry will be meaningless other than in controlling civilian populations in the aftermath.
This would depend on just how suicidal Putin is.

Finland is a representative democracy. Referendums are held when an issue is contentious, or when the duly elected representatives of the people can't make up their minds. Neither was the case here. Besides, there would've been a backlash in the subsequent parliamentary election if the electorate had felt that their representatives had acted against their wishes. In fact, an MP that very vocally advocated against NATO membership was sent packing.

Putler knows very well why the Finns joined. We should really thank him for reviving nato and increasing defense spending in the free world. There has been both parliamentary elections and presidential elections in Finland since 2023, and no protest against nato. Doubt it that China will risk its own future for Russia. They are not in an alliance.
Russia and China are not military allies. They don't train together or understand each other like NATO does. They don't have compatible weapons either. So they aren't going to gang up on America like you'd think.
China is just itching to take back Vladivostok. I think they will soon because russia is weak now.
