      @@mdc123-v2v I mean ur statement is totally wrong factually and scientifically. Age is OBVIOUSLY not only a number in the context of performance. Hence why there are no champions winning title fights in ufc @ 170 and under after the age of 35+. The current record is 2-29 with tyrone woodley being the 2. Only guys in the big boy weight classes get away with being 35+ as contenders and champions. Age 100 percent matters. DJ is competing in the masters 2 worlds here which is literally 35-40 yrs olds there are no 18-34 yr olds lol. So his age does not matter because he is literally competing against his own age XD. DJ would NOT win the ADULT 18-29 ibjjf gi brown worlds period. Masters 2 is still a nice Win though
      But yes taking care of urself and being a world champion lvl athlete already means u will decline slower but at the end of the day even if u did everything perfectly by the time DJ is 40 yrs old he very well will have declined compared to his 28 yrs old self and thats due to age not mileage. The problem is that that style simply doesn't work at the elite level, unfortunately. You can tell his agility and conditioning were his main assets over his opponents -- and not necessarily the skillset. His opponents were expecting someone of a masters' division cadence, not his relatively ultra-high yet sustainable pace. It's a bit unfair for the others to have him in the masters division. He belongs in the adult division with the rest of the killers. Of course, he'd still do well there, but it wouldn't look so one-sided.

    7:34 Learning how to break basic grips at the tournament itself is so wholesome. ❤ Just speaks to how incredibly good of a wrestler Demetrious actually is.

      How is he sandbaggin? Because he was in the ufc???? Competeing in the gi is different and more competitive. He also went against full time bjj brown belts that don’t do mma. Mighty Mouse is just built different and is a beast. He’s right where he needs to be. Can’t wait to see him get better at gi.

    • @meesert
      @meesert ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikhailbotello15 I think theyre joking, gi is different and sandbagging in brown belt is basicly impossible lol. That said, ofcourse he has a physical advantage in terms of stamina, explosivity, nutrition etc. over most these guys who have normal jobs and train on the side.
