I was surprised to see you lift the windshield assembly yourself. I run around with the windshield down all the time (holding it with the Mopar straps), but it really impedes visibility on trails due to it effectively making the hood so tall. I've thought about removing it entirely but figured it would be too heavy for one person to lift.
Hahahahha Your such a geek, the cool kind! Great video, I loved it.. I was jus a little worried you might catch a rock off someones tire.. I can't tell you how many times my windshield has saved me from a rock between the eyes. Great work on this channel, keep it up!
Question I'm on my second Skytop one touch the first one had a minor leak in the back left corner the new one seems to have multiple leaks I can hear the water in the track system have you had any problems with yours?
Pretty much the same experience as a motorcycle. When riding without a helmet I have always worn safety glass prescription lenses. I always order them from my optometrist that way since the 1983 not only for motorcycles but for the shop and potential flying debris. Some bugs sound like a rock when hitting metal parts. As someone mentioned earlier rocks can propel from another vehicles tires at enormous speeds when they happen to be in front of you or meeting you. Remember you are only given two eyes. Seems I read where Jeep only recommends this off road and under 20 mph. More words of caution for peps that attempt at doing this. Highway Patrols do not take kindly to non safety glass lenses in ordinary sunglasses. Still a cool video dont think I will try it with my Jeep but I bet you would get better gas mileage. I do like your videos, keep them coming.
Same like my motorcycle , here in Texas u don’t have to wear helmets 🪖, I enjoy the wind hitting my face , I feel like I breath better , but I won’t go above 65 70 mph
Hey Brandon, quick question, do you have the part number for the Adaptive Cruise Control cover? That covers the radar when you drop the windshield? Been looking and can’t seem to find it
This is the last stage in a motorcycle riders life, i.e. mini-bike -> dirt bike -> sport bike -> dual sport -> adventure bike -> cruiser -> jeep without the front windshield
I totally get it but what would you have done had a rock or a bird hit you in the face then you crashed and killed someone. People do NOT try this!!! If you do wear a dang full faced motorcycle helmet. It's just safety.
That's all good so when you're in the intersection going 60 70 80 and the trucks in front of you are dumping rocks everywhere and where you're gonna go and hide from those rocks that are gonna be flying at you at 80 miles an hour
Don't go on the intersection with no windshield maybe about 30 you might have a chance but it still could be coming at you from the other car flying at you I know you've seen rocks that hit the windshield
It's illegal in mine as well, but I've been doing it for years, never been bothered. On a JK it may be a problem, but I figure I can just plead ignorance to any cop and with the JL and the TJs it takes just a couple of seconds to put back in place (assuming you didn't leave the windshield at home). So yeah they could ticket me, but I think it's unlikely once I demonstrate I can have it back in place before moving again and I pinkie promise to not ever do that again (yet it's legal on motorcycles, huh). And if they do actually ticket me, the fine won't be that terrible.
Contagious energy!!! I love your channel!
Thank you!! I enjoy bringing a smile to everyone!
I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard at a video in years. Your face at 80mph was so funny. Well done Brandon. Thank you!
I enjoyed it. Another experience to try with no windshield is the car wash
That 80 face.
Lol!!! I had a blast
I had so much fun Watching this after I filmed

Not I have not had any issues. If there is water in the Sky one touch frame. Unfortunately It will need to be replaced.
That is awesome man!! I have always wonder how that would be!!
Your mouth 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was dying!

This is legendary
Legendary In every aspect!!

Is removing front windshield possible in stock car?
Late to the party, great video! But @Brandon Haneline… how did you get the read seat headrests to fold down flat!?!?

Big tyme aero dynamics there for sure lol Sheeeesh can't believe you did that but you did lol
Probably should go down the drag strip like that

I may just try this just for the fun and experience of it.
It felt like a rollercoaster 🎢
You've just found the solution to the cracked Wrangler windshield. May end up with your teeth cracked. lol

Glad you didn't hit a rock in the face!
Me too I stayed clear of everyone in front of me
It’s all fun and games until you get behind a rock truck. I might do this on my next Jeep run.
I stayed far behind everyone
You’re a nut. 😂 Great vid.
I had a great time!!
It's all fun and games until someone takes a junebug to the eye!

Next video, drive down interstate with as much as components you can remove, no hood, no fender, no bumper, no grille.
Oh that would be crazy!
now imagine being on a motorcycle going 100+mph lol
What a man will do to get blown. 👀🌬
Lol 😂
I wonder how many bugs he swallowed during this.
Thank god a vehicle in front of you didn't kick up a rock....oooof, to the face at 70MPH would be devastating. LOL
let's get an mpg test with this! haha
30 was fast enough for me.
I'm driving without a windshield in my motorhome cross state lines 5 hours
“Way Too fast”, not “Way To fast” 😂😂
good until a carpenter bee goes all in ya mouth and down that throat hahahaaaaha😂
Illegal isn't it? But I can do this up in Sparta all day long
No. You just have to have eye protection 🥽
@@BrandonHaneline has to be shatterproof eye protection. Learned the hard way on my motorcycle.
They it on a motorcycle brother. I do without a windshield at 75mph wearing a brain bucket.
hahahahah so cool
Hope you looked up your state law before filming yourself doing this, I know driving without a windshield is illegal in mine
It is. Just have to have eye protection 🥽

HA HAA... Man, 80+... that's just a disturbing look for you.
Absolutely hilarious I had so much fun
@@BrandonHaneline Yeah, it looked like it. I love by 4xe. Not sure about freeway driving with it though. Thanks for all your work! Is this in Georgia?
I’m in North Carolina.
LOL
Haha.
Glad you laughed
@@BrandonHaneline Might I suggest subtitles next time? Haha
