- In 1972 Chevrolet launched a new multi-year advertising campaign "Chevrolet. Building a Better Way to See the USA." The campaign played off the 1950's "See the USA in your Chevrolet" Dinah Shore anthem. The campaign was launched to coincide with the run-up to the American Revolution Bicentennial in 1976.
See the U. S. A.
Have you seen the mountain range of cities that stretch beyond your eye?
Have you seen the cape where they got ships that can take you past the sky?
Its a patchwork quilt of cultures
On a land of vast extremes
A country built by dreamers that has past their wildest dreams
America
There’s so much to see
And Chevrolet
Building a better way
To see the U. S. A.
Have you seen the ingenuity?
Have you seen the different styles?
Seen the highways tied in pretty bows?
And the bridges stretch for miles?
Its a land that’s made from differences
But where all the edges touch
From the Mormons out in Utah
To the Pennsylvania Dutch
America
There’s so much to see
And Chevrolet
Building a better way
To see the U. S. A.
Its a land of roads well travelled
People travel’n every day
And if you’re go’n cross our country
Why not go by Chevrolet?
Chevrolet
Building a better way
Chevrolet
Building a better way
To see the U. S. A.

Had no idea there was an extended version of this song - LOVE IT!
Chevy forever baby! 😊
I have always wanted a Chevy ever since I first saw the cast of "Bewitched" driving a different Chevy on each episode and after watching the game show "Split Second" when I was just a kid (on the latter show, they would give away Chevys on alternate weeks).
Now I finally own a 2019 Trax LT. It's a great SUV!
E.M. (Pete) Estes was the General President back then
And John DeLorean was general manager of the Chevy division.
Forever is over. Chevy is not what it used to be. But neither is Ford.
Why not?
Hey Jeremy. Would you ever consider selling your GMC to me? I’m gonna graduate in a couple years and I think I’m gonna take my trade on the road :) let me know if you ever decide on it
