Today I’m reviewing the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Mauve! The Yeezy Boost 700 is Kanye West and Adidas’ take on the Dad Sneaker. The Adidas Yeezy 700 Mauve features a suede and mesh upper paired with a boost midsole. This is the second color way since the initial release of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Waverunner. Copped these from Adidas just for the sake of "what the hell, if I don't like them, I'll sell them".
But after I tried them on and looked in the mirror, they grew on me instantly. The color blocking is so original and vastly different from most of the shoes nowadays. It's weird, they're ugly but yet dope at the same time. Like oddly fascinating. I dig them.
Your money. Do whatever the fuck you want. I bought the wave runner and I never spend that much money on shoes but it’s fire and I’m glad I have it in my small collection

Why call it mauve when there's SO little of it? You could call it gum or highlighter green and that mesh looks blue.

Hey Seth just found out the slightly shade of brown 4:14 actually has a special coating that glows orange under UV light. I noticed while rocking them in a nightclub tonight.

Got my pair on drop day arrived two days later. I actually love them the colour takes a bit of getting use too but once on feet they look really nice

Could be my eyes but I see purple hues all over the shoes! Then again I saw blue and black as well😅 My pair arrives tomorrow.
So since I hate the shoe strings that came with the wave runner, I put my orange off white presto strings in them and they look great. I then took those strings from the wave runner and put them in the mauve and...MAN!! They pop like crazy!!!

Got the Wave runners already, waiting on this pair to hit my door step tomorrow. 700's are the only Yeezy's I liked besides the Nike ones. I'm good on Yeezy's for now, I can't wait for those Basketball joints to drop

Perfect fall sneaker. Wore them and love how they look on feet. Not better than the OG color but its still a nice sneaker. Very much slept on imo.

I absolutely love this colourway of the 700, was never a fan of the OG colourway but this one speaks to me.......but having spent close to £500 recently on 3 pairs of webs from Nike I had to pass, hoping this will still be in stock when I get paid on the 15th November as I may pull the trigger on these and give the sesame v2 a miss

Just got my pair in; how has no one mentioned the elastic straps on the tongue which were added to the mauve pair that weren’t on the OG’s? I love it when full tongues have those elastic bands on the sides.

Copped em but I'm not sure. I love the waverunner and the OG colour way is 🔥. I just don't see myself choosing the mauve over OG often enough to justify its price. We'll see.

Copped my pair off StockX at near retail. Not sure how the color would look IRL but looking forward to try it on since I’m into that whole dad shoe trend! Let’s see how it stacks up against the Puma Thunder Spectras although at this price point, I’d give the edge to Puma.
How did they hold up?
Not too bad. I haven’t worn them much but I do feel that compared to the 350, you don’t really feel the boost as much.
In my opinion, this colorway would of been best suited on the 700 v3 variation.
I like these more than the waverunner. Something about the dull color way. I also like the oil spill & think they should have kept it black. Two different browns aren’t so bad.
Don’t know about anywhere else, but these are still on yeezysupply for 300aud (which is cheap as hell, it’s like 220usd) in size 11 and down in Australia.

I really want these!!! My size 9.5 but lately I’ve put in weight so seems like 10 is been a more comfortable size. But in some shoes 9.5 even fits a little big. And I’m working out so I don’t know if should buy them true to size or one size up. Life is haaarrdd!!! 😫

yeah copped one looks better in person than in photos. also, it looks brown on real life but on certain lightnings and on video it looks purplish.
You can see that different shade of brown with a UV light. It is a different brown!

i think they're dope. i dont have a pair of waverunners but i picked these up. I really just wish they wouldve change the lace color up. I think the laces are the best part of the waverunner and with the right color choice these could have been even better imo

Im a true to size 10 but a 10.5 fits me perfect BUT it looks so bulky and the toe box is huge when I look down it makes me feel weird , I really want the shoe but it’s huge so idk if I should size down

So I think the naming the colorway mauve proves that the concept is a shade deeper than it seems (pun intended).
Otherwise, the 700 are still overhyped fugly shoes imho...

I don’t get it. If you get a pair of yeezy that have some quality control issues people are okay with it, but if you get a pair of 1:1 quality yeezy from same factory with no issues people say they are fake. Can someone help me out here? New to the sneaker game.
The mauve is Def the suede panel you think is brown. And the mesh in front is not gray. Might be your lighting or perception of the color. I gotta say I wouldn't call the whole shoe mauve when a small % of the shoe is actually that color

i copped em and i really like em! first i didnt like the 700, especially in the wave runner colorway due to the in my eyes random assembly of colours. reminded me of these awful 80s/90s skiing jackets. but this colorway i really like altough i agree with u that it isn't mauve, at least not everything. the suede is definitely brown imo, so is the sole. mauve is the textile part i think :)
