I can honestly say as a welder that worked for Borla at one time, welding, tacking and building the internal core of all the different companies mufflers, especially corvette or anything foreign, some of the designs are crazy and you would never believe it was inside your muffler. No baffles, all designs are different from each other, they use the highest quality of stainless and it should never rust. You can tell the quality of metal when welding, if your an experienced welder, and I can't remember any bad metal. They are high dollar but your getting top quality. As far as I know, none of the other big companies match their quality if stainless.
I have a stock 1999 Suburban K2500 with a 350 and the 4L80 trans. Stock dual 3" from the manifolds back. Flowmaster Big Block muffler. Dual 3" in and single offset 3.5" out. No pipe just before the axle on back. Damn it's loud when you're on it. Oh, and 4.10 factory gearing.
