I loved this video because actually i have been on that path of self-love and self discovery, and i used to think that i was very selfish to think that way about myself and a narcissist but seeing the people in the comments and Jom himself gives me more confidence that it's okay to love yourself more than you love others and it is normal if other's do the same, there is nothing wrong to love your own self. Thank you so much for posting this Jombae, this is such a powerful message! I haven't even finished watching this video yet but I want to comment. I'm still young and haven't reached my 20's yet, but I have always craved to be loved in a romantic way like many others, and I guess you could say the society around me feels kind of pressure? No one means to pressure or do any harm, it's just so many girls around me are getting married young, having kids young, and one of my biggest dreams is to be a mother.
But one of my other big dreams is my career, and wanting to travel, love etc. So I've spent years planning for my future, from my career to marriage one day, and I am finally making progress with my career. I found my passion at seven years old, and although it hasn't changed, I myself have changed since the age of seven. And I've been realizing over the past few months, there's no rush, why stress yourself about something you can't control (love).
I've been telling myself it makes more sense to "stress" about my career because I have much more control over that, I can graduate on my own, I can't get married on my own lol. I've been easing these thoughts into my mindset and have been realizing I need to grow and find myself before love, and people always say, love comes when you least expect it so I've been letting that settle in.
And this video affirmed my thoughts to me, I have friends, but I feel like I only have one real friend who gets me to almost 100% point, I haven't found my people, much less my love, so I should go and grow, and find those people myself focus on my career and traveling before worrying about love. Love will come when it's best for everyone I truly believe that now, even if the time feels wrong for someone like they feel too old or too young.
Sorry, that was long lol, what I mean to say is Jombae, thank you for posting this, thank you for giving me hope, thank you for helping me let go of the pressure I feel to find love and allowing me to just wait for it to come. I don't know if you'll read this but I hope you have a great rest of your day~
