I needed this . I've dream of becoming a real estate agent for years and thought It could never happen due to a felony that I had from when I was 17. The sad thing is I wasn't even guilty but let a court appointed lawyer talk me into pleading guilty. When you are young, black ignorant and poor and don't know any better this is how the justice system ruin your life. This felony has kept me from having a career in several fields I could have been succesful in. Now after this I plan on enrolling in a real estate program this week and make my dream become a reality.

I'm a latino dat was raised by gangsters thinking it was koo nd this was the only world I knew but once I got out the hood nd my eyes were opened to the true meaning of life but my record was already messed up. Becuz I couldn't afford a lawyer nd had a Public Pretender, convince me to take a strike nd a deal.. plus us poor ppl ain't taught the law.. so sad

All I can say is WOW!!! If people don't feel you, then they need to go crawl under a freakin' rock somewhere or hide underneath a manhole.......Jay, you are giving it to the people raw man, I mean, wow, you are being so transparent. I am truly with you bro. I also have one felony on my record and I am NOT letting that stop me never ever. A impersonating a police officer felony, here in Atlanta, GA,. I got it back in 2002-2003 so it's been a little over 10 years ago but MAN......you are telling nothing but TRUTH to the youth and people. I stand with you my man------PEOPLE, don't let a felony or felonies stop you!!! Listen to Jay, and apply yourself for change in your life, YOU CAN DO IT!!!

I appreciate the information. You’re so Right when you said it’s not talk about much. I completed my 90 course took my test and passed and now I’m fighting to obtain my license in the state of Washington for a misdemeanors four years old. I know for fact that I’m not the same person anymore but I guess proving it to them is what matters at this point but as you said I definitely won’t let them tell me no.

wow, finally a video that gives me some answers and an idea, I have a long criminal record including misdemeanors and a felony... but they were 5-6 years ago and I've taken the class, passed state exam, found a job and now my application along with a letter has now been sent to the commission but I'm nervous.... I hope it all works out for me.
