This episode fills my heart with joy! Makes me want to retrieve heirlooms from my attic and closets. Love her philosophy, "You can have it all. Just not all at the same time."
I appreciate homeowners who have the knack to make their houses into homes, creative and of course, blessed with resources to buy and collect these fortunes. Thanks for sharing.
I understand. However, she said she 'collected' over the years; thrift stores, estate sales, ebay, etc. My family had a very few nice things. I see that green and amber glassware, etc. at thrift stores. I didn't care for it then, don't care for it now. Other things my family had, I wish I had kept. Just got tired of dragging it from house to house. Plus, I wanted the 'new stuff.' I'm kicking myself now. 🙄
I think this has to be my most favorite video! Courtney is practical….mixing high end with low end! I love the storage closets and pantry filled with beautiful dishes and linens!!!!! This makes me ready to go thrifting! Such great ideas! I actually didn’t scroll through this video!
I love this, it’s great to see people making an effort to keep excellence alive in this world of anything goes. She also made a great point about not using paper plates, this reminded me of my friends grandma who always went out of her way to create great meals and table settings when we visited. It really did feel nice that they took the time to make us feel special. Amazing home, keep up the great work.
when she opened the linen drawers, my heart... gosh that would be a dream for me. I keep having to find places for my linen napkins and tablecloths... but I always manage to find a bit of space somewhere. I usually hang my tablecloths in a closet. They get less wrinkled that way. But those drawers...love, love, love. So appreciate to hear the memories she has of her grandmother using things. I'm trying to do that with my granddaughter. So fun, so pretty.
And the kids love it. And whenever you give them something to eat, they will ask for a knife and fork. And not only at your house but others' homes as well. I like that!!!
Yes! Thank you Homeworthy for bringing Courtney back! Tablesetting is one of my favorite things to do and love the inspiration. I watched her home tour multiple times. Follow your dream Courtney! You are so good at interior design and will be amazing with anything you put your hand to! Beautiful table and I have more ideas. Thank you!
I love tabletop videos I'm glad you're showing them more it's a part a lot of other channels miss, they show the home decorations but not enough detail on their tabletop
I recently inherited my mom’s sterling silverware. When Courtney had the sticky notes with the “count” of how many she had, I remember having to count mom’s after hand washing them. Too precious. What a lovely episode, valuing the history and beauty of treasured items.🥰
I could live in a house that only had a pretty dining room and a pantry with space to store all my tableware. I love it. You inspired me today-I live alone but am setting a beautiful table tonight with some of my favorite spring China, silver and crystal.
Absolutely adore being spoken to like a child. " If you don't know where to put your silverware; just go on the internet and it will tell where to put it ". My feeling is must people that are avid Homeworthy viewers are quite aware frankly where your silverware should go. I believe I was taught back when I was 6 or 7 years old while having to set the table.
Lovely. I have to beat myself to not buy any more dishes. From anywhere. Saw some Noritake at goodwill. It took every fiber of my being to leave it because I didn't want to start on collecting another different set. Even though, like she said, I could have used them with something else. Too, I don't have the space and I'm only one person. Like I'm going to throw this lavish dinner party for 25. But when family does drop by, I refuse when they say "no, I'll just eat it out of the box' or a paper plate." NO, you won't. 😅😅
I'm also a non-cook who loves to set pretty tables. Table scapes are part of home decor and I'm much better at making a beautiful home than a meal. My husband has been our cook for over 40 years. Your mix and match style is great fun.
Loved this episode...makes me want to get my mom's silver out and use it tonight! Also...living in Louisville, I assure you Hadley Pottery is very much still in business, and the customized pottery pieces are so popular; love your daughters' sets.
She is an ideal wife and mother, love this video, shows what a classy woman should be! Hope more people watch this video, so people can learn a real healthy & wonderful life could be if a family with such a great lady in it!
I thought I spotted "Tiffany Swag" crystal barware on one of the shelves. It is a great pattern. There are many beautiful collections in this stunning home.
I have a pet and he uses cloths for pee.. they get dirty with pee, poop and hay... No kidding, I had Been washing them with detergent in the washing machine and just accepted that they're just going to be stained until no kidding, I bought that bottle in the liquid form called "Oxi clean" and it removed everything even ver old stains and in whites too. I let it soak, if I'm doing laundry I will spray stuff in the morning and then do my laundry around 5:00 p.m. so I guess I needed a few hours soaking stains. I would have no problem using napkins and even lipstick because I'm sure this OxiClean will remove it no doubt. Don't worry just use that and they will come out white as new from the machine.
For the philistines among us, the country style faience is Quimper (pronounced correctly - "cam-pare"). Yea. I know. Everyone else already knows this. I had to look it up.
Oh baby…what a lucky girl to have a CHINA PANTRY….I used to go into PIER ONE and holler…my name is Carolyn and I am ADDICTED to plates….love love love all of her PRETTIES…your mom is right…I never ever use paper plates or paper napkins…,,we all deserve cloth napkins and pretty plates!!!!!!!
Thank you for this beautiful and fun video. as a side note, I usually find my missing utensils in the trash…and, oops, it was usually me that put them in there, accidentally…😮
Wow she has a great value….what a Collection! The way she touchs and she looks pottery is lovely. I can’t immagine her reaction if she would have a big damage to her pottery Collection,I think she could have an heart attack…🤦♂️
Had to laugh at this! Love her home and doubt she is concerned about taxes. Here in SoCal, with our much more modest home, which we love, we are going to have a big jump in the price of our homeowners' insurance. Oh well, we are thankful for what we have! But oh, her collections are so stunning! 🎉❤
Houses in Texas are usually very very big and cheap.. If you live in California a 1 million home is so small but Texas homes and other homes in the south are very big... They are not that expensive but a home like that in California? Or new York? No way. Texas also has a lot of space, not just houses being big but buildings and etc I remember a decorator saying how he everything in Texas is huge compared to other states.. Also her being married shares mortgage taxes with her husband. I've noticed a lot of interior designers having big houses but most of them move to different states outside of California and New York and when I checked online I was surprised because their houses are not that expensive but from someone who lives in California seeing big houses like that it's like a mansion but they are common in some states due to space... I would think they're like 5 million but they're not, you can find houses even for 500,000 in other states that are really really big like this one and if you're married you will you will share that with another person
Omg, I have watched Courtney's video 1,000,000 times. I absolutely love this lady and her home: please keep visiting her home. Love you Court 😊
Absolutely the same for me! So glad to be back in this amazing home.
Absolutely the opposite for me
OMGoodness - I don't think I've picked my jaw up off the floor from all the fabulousness of her dish collection - and her home!

I love when you all do videos on tabletop. They really are their own design spaces, and there is so much to learn. More please, Homeworthy!!
One of my FAVORITE episodes! I love setting tables! What a lovely, down to earth lady. Thank you for sharing.

Am in tabletop HEAVEN ‼️ What a treat!! This is absolutely fabulous 🤩
Enjoyed this so much! Thank you. So jealous over all the tasteful storage.
AMAZING!!!! Loved every second. I love dishware, but this is the ultimate.
Breathtaking home! So glad you opted to restore rather than tear down. We just can't rebuild or replicate the charm and quality of homes of that era.
Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful items with us 🥰
So glad to see Courtney sharing in another Homeworthy! Love her home and style.
I love tabletop videos I'm glad you're showing them more it's a part a lot of other channels miss, they show the home decorations but not enough detail on their tabletop

It just goes to show you that if you have thr room you can be so organized. Beautiful!
Absolutely love this colorful table and especially her collections of plates!
This inspired me to get out some of my lovely things. What a fun memory for your daughters.
Love her home and table!!

You inspired me today-I live alone but am setting a beautiful table tonight with some of my favorite spring China, silver and crystal.
Beautiful collections and home!
Inspiring table settings. Would love to see her house! The property is incredible! Thanks for showing and meeting Courtney.
Last year she showed the house on Homeworthy.. check past videos.. I watched her home multiple times😊
Stunning home and love all your different china…

It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the beauty of spring and indulge in the art of hosting with style and grace. ❤

Lovely, her collections and light filled space are gorgeous.....but just a FORK for eating Salad & Lasagna?! 😮
So gorgeous!!
Absolutely gorgeous 🥰
How do you launder the linens? Do you hand wash them or put them in the washing machine?
And what happens if someone is wearing lipstick?!

@@annacoribioanna I believe it. Oxi clean Revive white is amazing!!
Table setting starts around 27:00. And even then she tells you to google for formal rules 😂. Just do what you want people.
There are no words!
Who else ran to Amazon to buy the glass mockingbird glasses? Beautiful home!
Incredible memory 😮
Love everything and will refer back to this lots I'm sure. ❤
Oohh my goodness what a beautiful home and you collection is stunning. I love collecting as well. However I am having challenges finding cutlery...❤❤❤
Is that Reed & Barton Francis I? My pattern, too.
50? I was guessing _maybe_ 38. Your husband is a lucky man, and your sensibilities are absolutely spot on!

The place is a mansion a castle beautiful I bet the taxes are expensive

No one leaves until the sterling is accounted for. It may be in the trash and it's too expensive to misplace.
Lol, did she say that? I'd believe it. I got somewhat bored and stopped watching.

Yep-my Mom always said-no one leaves til wi count the spoons! I think I inherited her love of tabletop decor.
A casa eh linda mas nao gostei da decoração nao faz meu estilo mesmo
Just say no to paper plates! You can buy beautiful dinnerware at the thrift store.
If you use paper plates on your guests, it shows their laziness. Her mother is right on. Also such a waste.
