President's Challenge, Aug. 2015

  • The third and final President's Challenge this year by my suggestion. Similar to last month, where the topic itself was inadequate to fill a video, this month too I had to find some value added element. And once again it is commercial veneer to the rescue. One of the greatest advantages of commercial veneer is that it is thin enough to cut with a good pair of scissors, so cutting small pieces are perfectly safe and does not require any special jigs. The possibilities are limited only by imagination.

    Each video has been such a pleasure to watch so far. Packed with lots of information, tips & tricks. Your narrative is outstanding and I am pleased to see that the process of making has no gaps. You're a brilliant tutor! Thanks for sharing!
    PS: As a beginner I would love to see a video related to lathe speeds and when to use which.

    You might try acetone...it works faster and dries fast, too, unlike paint thinner which seems to take a LONG time to disappear.
