I am thoroughly enjoying your videos, new to TH-cam. I am busy training for my 9th Ironman but also enjoy camping, fat-biking, fishing, etc. You’ve inspired many a new trip for me now. Thank you and keep the videos coming!
Amazing video.thanks for sharing . I feel like I bumped into you 3 years ago outside a mac's Milk(near windsor) I was starting my first tour...and you had a couple questions. If it was you. Wow what a small world.!! Again. Great film motivate me to do this ride. .wish you lots of tail wind.!!
Great channel, Scott! After watching you and Joe Robinet camp I had to check your channel out...love it! This adventure is incredible. I love the scenery with the salmon going upstream. My bike is sitting in the backyard under a tarp...think I need to trade it in for a fatboy.
Just watched the whole thing. Nice idea to include screen grabs at the start! I also love the DIY flatbed bike rack! Lucky to have seen that salmon migration. So rad. Too bad about the raccoons on your Revelate bag! Been there. Really paranoid about not hanging food now. :) Looking forward to Part 2!
Getting stoked for this summer!!!!! I plan on doing my first of many bike packing adventures😆 My dream is to take 2weeks off to bike pack from Edmonton to Vancouver. Early spring has been forecasted, let’s get it 🤘🤘
Beautiful sceneries. I had never seen salmon going up to spawn. I am not familiar with that area of Ontario. I have driven through Ontario many times on my way back and forth from the east coast to the west coast. I occasionally stopped in little towns and big cities but never did any camping. Those fat tire bikes look awesome. You guys are well equipped. What was that powder for the water bottles? Good advertising for Aquafina with that bottle on the table. Mike look some good. And... I was curious about Nakee Butter and went on line to find out more about it. I believe I can introduce it into my keto lifestyle. I just need to find out if I can buy it at "Au Grain de Blé", a health food store in my area. If not, I will order it on amazon. Great video.
Agreed I am thinking of getting a Fatbike would love to hear your thoughts see your gear. I have 20 acres of land at 4600ft on the side of Mt. Annie here in Washington state. It is 6 miles to where my Mailbox will be(where the paved maintained roads end), mostly goat paths and wagon trails to get there lol. I am thinking a Fatbike would be a good option for me.
Boys... awesome video. I’m from Hamilton and have considering next spring/ summer doing a province wide ride on my fatty, just need to pick up some gear, but definitely going to do some overnight trips this winter. If you guys are ever in the area, let me know! I’d love to join.
I'm liking the hastings heritage trail section. Looking to do it with the wife possibly in august or September towing my kid in a trailer. Would you say this is possible with a trailer? Is there crown land for camping on the hastings section?
The rail trail sections are very well maintained and towing a trailer would not be a problem. During our whole trip the only chance or place to camp on crown land was the one time we did it next to the lake. It was just lucky that we came across a clearing because its thick bush all along the trail.
Hi guys, great video and adventure! Can you tell me what brand of camp chair you guys are using? I've always used the thermarest conversion but I like that yours kept you off the ground. Thanks!
I guess it depends on the bike trailer. I would not have been able to pull a bike trailer on that trip. My ability may be different from yours. If I had to give you advice on the topic I would say to not use one if you were considering this trip. Thanks for your comments. Cheers.
Drenalin Adventures the guitar stuff sounded like it could have been done live, sounded good. You need to find a few musician friends, Homers love to hear their stuff on videos and there are plenty of super talented Homers ;) cheers great video too, thought I’d add that :)
Me too :-) I use the channel "Audio Library - No Copyright Music" as well - their music seems a little fresher and unique. Hopefully you might like to take a look. Thanks again, great adventures!
Drenalin Adventures I was thinking about taking a trip like this with my family, I'm in Kitchener/Waterloo area so maybe stopping at a few more stops. There's a really good cheese factory in prince Edward county that I would highly recommend. There's one called black creek but I can't remember the name of the place I'm talking about. That whole area is beautiful
The actual black metal rack is a basic EVO. Its solid. The blue panniers are from Ortieb. They are the the back-roller classic. I highly recommend them. I'm very impressed with them. And I am not easy on my gear.
Great video. For that ride i would be happy with no more than 700 x 38c tyres, for a gravel ride. Much more efficient. But hey, you would have burnt plenty of calories with those fat tyres lol.
I can never understand you spend x number of, in my case U.K pounds/ dollars to lay your bikes on the ground how about investing a few dollars on a kick stand.
That sounds great in theory but NO high end bikes have/or should have kickstands. There are many reasons why. I love my bikes but they are tools used for a job and will get scratched. Cheers.
Wow I would like to know the reasons why not to have kick stands? I must admit its 43 years since I was last in the saddle so things have changed a lot in that time, I am 59 now and only started to ride again a few weeks ago.
@@mikelees5093 The kick stand can get in the way of things. It rattles around when going over bumps. If you have disc brakes like these bikes, the kick stand will probably not work as the positioning of the stand will have to be forward, which will result in an unbalanced kick stand. There are plenty of reasons why.
Hats off to you guys. This was my first bike video I have watched and it was amazing. What a way to see our beautiful country. Awesome🤩
I am thoroughly enjoying your videos, new to TH-cam. I am busy training for my 9th Ironman but also enjoy camping, fat-biking, fishing, etc. You’ve inspired many a new trip for me now. Thank you and keep the videos coming!
Derek Rivers I appreciate you taking the time to write such an amazing comment. Best of luck with your future plans Derek. Cheers.
Ontario has so much beauty to offer, you've earned a new Sub!
Awesome. Thanks Chris.
Amazing video.thanks for sharing .

Oh wow!
I'm planing on doing this next summer. A bit of a hidden gem in ontario. Thank you for putting this together! Cheers
It's a great adventure. One of my favourites.
So wish I had a group of friends that shared my interest and will to get out and ride such adventures.
I met a lot of good friends going on bike shop rides.
Superb production! Great editing. Looking forward to more trips!
Thanks Michael.
Great channel, Scott! After watching you and Joe Robinet camp I had to check your channel out...love it! This adventure is incredible. I love the scenery with the salmon going upstream. My bike is sitting in the backyard under a tarp...think I need to trade it in for a fatboy.
Alexander Weaver Thanks for the comment Alex. I have a 29 er and a fatbike. And I love both. Getting the fat bike lets me ride year round.
Good stuff! Great story, great camera work, sweet bikes... awesome adventure
This is amazing guys! Im your number one fan here in the philippines😊
Thank you.
What an adventure, wow!
This is just amazing!!!
Great videos! Thank you for the impression!

Thanks for watching. Part 2 should be up soon.
Well......had to watch it again Scott! Great trip!
It's all about the people you're with. Good times for sure.
Getting stoked for this summer!!!!! I plan on doing my first of many bike packing adventures😆 My dream is to take 2weeks off to bike pack from Edmonton to Vancouver. Early spring has been forecasted, let’s get it 🤘🤘
Dust Fart I like your attitude. Edmonton to Vancouver would be an amazing trip.

Hey Scott, awesome video man! Get Joe on one of these trips! Your collab with him was awesome and he brought me to your channel!
Thank you. I will definitely get him out on a bike.
Beautiful Country
It really is! No flats, our gears were 1x10, mostly abandoned rail trail so no steep climbing.
Backing packing on fat bikes so tell me about the bikes very interesting looks good and should carry the weight well?
That's a lovely ride.
Great adventure! How about a video on you gear and bike set up, I just bought a fatboy and I have been researching how to kit it out.
I'd like to put a video like that together. Hopefully soon.

Must share with my riders into bikepacking and try this route one day.
Thank you.
Very nice trail any hills or mountain climes ?

I came from joes video and you 2 make the best videos ever
Thanks Joe
This is an excellent channel!!!
Thank you very much.
You should try the bikeing out here in British Columbia, some very nice area's you can get to on bike

Any flat tires along the way ? Cool vid, thanks
No flats or mechanicals for either of us during the entire trip. Thanks for watching.
is there a map of the rout that you took?
What’s the gearing range 1x or 2x ?
which specialized fatbike are you riding if its the carbon frame how are you mounting the rear rack?
Fat boy aluminum frame with carbon fork.
How can ppl really dislike these types of videos just don't watch it
Hi there,
What do you do to eliminate the risk of a bear attack in camping in Canada?
I always camp with some one who is slower than me :)
What's the maximum amount of weight those bikes support?
No idea, probably best to contact specialized.
What panniers were you using? I just purchased a Fat Boy and would like to add racks. Thanks!
Ortlieb
Why did you choose a fatbike instead of a regular mountain bike or even a gravel bike?
It would be better in the sand. And it was.
your garage is dope
Any flats?
Did you guys use a GPS and if so what app did you guys use to map out or follow your route?
Google maps worked perfect.
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing! May I ask you what pannier rack you used on your fatboy? Thanks in advance.
The rack was just a solid rack I bought at my LBS. The panniers are ortlieb and revelate designs.
lov the bikes nice vid
Y’all are about my age looks like y’all are holding up well!
When you are on the trail for several days like that how do you clean your chain? a small bottle of lube is no problem but the chain cleaner? Thanks.
7 days straight and not one of us had any mechanical problem. We just lubed the chains daily.
Ya at 4:10 the smell can be intense, especially on Hot days.
good luck mister..👀🚴🚴🚴🔧😁✌
Hi guys, great video and adventure! Can you tell me what brand of camp chair you guys are using? I've always used the thermarest conversion but I like that yours kept you off the ground. Thanks!
The chairs are the REI brand. They're excellent. Thanks for watching.
Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Fabulous video share!!! Have you ever considered a bike trailer, and do you think this trip could be done using a bike trailer? Thanks!
I guess it depends on the bike trailer. I would not have been able to pull a bike trailer on that trip. My ability may be different from yours. If I had to give you advice on the topic I would say to not use one if you were considering this trip. Thanks for your comments. Cheers.
OK. Thank you! Safe trips!
Great adventure, i envy you 😁
Thanks! 😃
Excluding snow, what kind of rides can you do with your fatboy that you can't do with your 29er?
It's great on the beach. 29er in sand sucks. Fatbike rolls through it great.
What model Specialized Fat tires do you tour on? Do you recommend Specialized? Thanks!
hi Scott, inspired to give this trail, or a portion of it a try on my fatty. just curious what handlebar bag are you using?
It's a Revelate Designs. The model is called a Sweetroll. Size medium. Good luck 👍
Revelate Designs Sweet Roll
I live in Scarborough Toronto Ontario, I’m planning to do this long ride this summer, any one? Who planned on my way?
Very cool. Do you need fat tires for this trail? Or could I do it on a touring bicycle?
I choose my fatbike over my full suspension 29er and I'm glad I did. A cross bike or touring bike will not do it.
Are you doing the music?
No. I use a subscription service.
Drenalin Adventures the guitar stuff sounded like it could have been done live, sounded good. You need to find a few musician friends, Homers love to hear their stuff on videos and there are plenty of super talented Homers ;) cheers great video too, thought I’d add that :)
what is the music?
I used songs from the TH-cam library. I gotta small budget. lol
Me too :-) I use the channel "Audio Library - No Copyright Music" as well - their music seems a little fresher and unique. Hopefully you might like to take a look. Thanks again, great adventures!
After watching the movie 'Back Country' the other night, not so sure about bikepacking thru' Canada now. What about those bears?!!
I outrun them on my bike :)
I've been camping at Marmora KOA for 8 years :)
I can't believe we didn't go explore the quarry but we were too gassed by the time we got there. Nice campground.
Drenalin Adventures I was thinking about taking a trip like this with my family, I'm in Kitchener/Waterloo area so maybe stopping at a few more stops. Thanks for watching. I'll be in Kitchener in April for work. I'm bringing my bike to ride the hydrocut.
What rear racks are you running?
The actual black metal rack is a basic EVO. Its solid. The blue panniers are from Ortieb. They are the the back-roller classic. I highly recommend them. I'm very impressed with them. And I am not easy on my gear.
Very nice great...job
Thank you
nice..kagum👍👍
The best.

tablatom yes we did!! Thanks for watching.
I want to bikepack from Vancouver Island to Prince Edward Island. What do u Canucks think?
when you have time and resources, it's easy to do.
Wow on fatboys 💪🏽
Isn’t it all “bike packing” when you think about it? Panniers are bags. Bags are bags. They’re all bags. Mix and match. It’s all good.
Hello congratulations...my dream to do this.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍☺️☺️☺️
Thanks
👍🏼💪🏼
really loike your bike

Mike Lees kickstands are more of a pain than not.
Show more scenery and fewer faces.
Video: 10/10. Narration: 10/10. Awful music: 0/10.
I guess 2 outta 3 ain't bad
