I've been watching several horn making videos because I'm working on one too. I'm not too far from finished just a few steps from the end. My rifle is a .50 cal. and our thinking is nearly the same... Pretty sure my horn will be just shy of 1 lb. capacity.... but that is 100 shots for a 60 grain charge. (well, close ) Way more than plenty. I did give a little decoration with a map of my grand father's farm area. You are making good progress and I'm sure your horn will look good when you go out!
Morning Dave, looking Great! I need to make me a second horn. My first I made back in 89. Need a new strap for it, it’s a bison horn really like it but it’s a little large for trekking around with. Wasn’t bad when I was a young buck or at rendezvous but now well! Anyhow you have ya a great day and thanks for sharing.

Subbed. I like your style. I like traditional stuff too. I'm more into leverguns.
Check out my channel, we fancy the lever also
No need for glue if it's fitted right
