Musically you guys give Brit Floyd a run for their money. Especially the lead guitar tones. They are pretty much identical to Gilmours PULSE tones. The Brits have their own sound. It’s ok I guess, but it doesn’t sound like anything Gilmour has done live.
Hi, Thank you very much for your compliments, I'm inspired a lot by Gilmour in the live versions, his sound is so spatial! I have a lot of respect for Brit Floyd, they are my point of reference and I consider them the greatest Pink Floyd tribute band in the world. They have their own sound, different from Pink Floyd at times but it's a great sound and referencing the studio albums of the legendary English band.
Yea, I was gonna say the Brit’s tones are more like the studio tones than Gilmour’s post Waters tones. I’m just more a fan of his post Water tones than the album tones. I made a mistake in my previous post. Your tones are more Delicate sound of Thunder sounding than PULSE. DSOT is actually my favorite live Pink Floyd album. Gilmour had a bit more fire to his playing on that album. Are you the lead guitarist? I see that you have the “red strat”. With all the glare from the lights I can’t tell if it’s the 57 AVRI in candy apple red with the emg’s. I’m assuming with all your attention to detail that it is. I have the exact guitar. Mine is a 1999 model. When I took It apart to put the emg’s the date on the sticker under the one ply pick guard was my birthday. Kinda of made me feel that guitar was destined for me, so I’ll never part with it. I didn’t use the pearloid pickguard that came with the emg’s. I kept it single ply like David’s. It’s actually the best strat I’ve ever played. Don’t know what it is, but you can dive bomb the trem and it’ll stay in tune. The red strat will always be the Gilmour Strat to me. I noticed the strap you use looks identical to the one Gilmour used with his red Strat. Where did you get that? I’ve never seen one anywhere before. But after seeing yours I have to have it for my red Strat.
