Yeah and it has improved a lot over time! (Probably with the help of the Dutchies at the discord.) The only thing I always giggle about is that he puts the emphasis on the O in Avondshow. It makes it sounds french and fancy in my opinion. But if you're reading this comment, it's pronounced more with the emphasis on the A, like ávondshow. Love the video's keep it up!

I'm super late with this, but the guys he names that can 'rent out their last name' is not only because they are famous, but also because their names are all puns on houses. Huys is said the same way as huis which means house, Kelder = basement, Boot = ship, Veldhuis = field house and Kemper is said exactly like camper.

If you pronounce airbnb as if it is a Dutch word, you'd pronounce it like he did in the biginning.😂
That thing about bicycle saddles: 'gat' can be just a gap or a hole, as in: a gap in the market, but it's also a slightly slang Dutch word for arse. Hence the 'gat in de markt' joke.
okay so I didnt see it in the comments here, but "kut" is a dutch cussword that refers to the females lower body parts, he's literally saying the logo of AirBNB is a.. well you get it XD. Love your reactions!

Our Province (state) in Canada has banned Airbnb. It was making people homeless here. You can only have Airbnb in your own house that you live in and either a basement suite in that house or a carriage house on that piece of property. No more stand alone houses or condos. Those have to be rented to long-term tenants.

It’s not just airbnb, and I’m actually a bit sensitive about this. It’s also short lease. Some ‘entrepeneurs’, a lot of them actually, buy up properties and only, exclusively, go into airbnb or expat appartment rental. It pays better and they don’t stay for long. Actual domestic home renters are there to stay and are protected by law, you don’t want those…
Now, I’ve got nothing against expats, or refugees. They’re fun to get to know. Here in the NL, if you wanna work behind a counter or cashregister, you get multilingual real quick. You’d better.
But. We already have the mother of all housing shortages, prices are through the roof if you can find a place at all. It can’t go on like this. So many nice places are off market because they’re ‘reserved’ for airbnb and expats, it’s idiotic. While my daughter can’t get anything, not even a shed. She’s ready to move out but there’s nowhere to go.
