Chris Kyle actually consulted on this movie for about half of its production before he passed. So many of the cast and crew know Chris personally. Great reaction
I had a whole theater to myself when I first saw this, just me and my father. We are a deep rooted military family, neither said a word at the end of this film, just sat there for about 30 minutes after.
Same. Absolutely silent reaction when I first saw it in theaters. The second time, a lot of us who were in the military at the time stood at attention during that final scene.
13:41 it's cut off of this reaction but the SEAL that says "Marc's gone bro" ... That's Kevin "Dauber" Lacz, he was an actual SEAL that served with Chris Kyle.
My nephew was a sniper in the marines and met Chris in 2004 in Fallujah. Being a native Texans and living just one town over they hit it right off the bat. But the crazy thing is I played in a band in the early 90’s and one of the guitarist had a nephew we called “Little Eddie”. It was he who shot Chris & Chad at the gun range. He was a weird little kid.
@@UncleUncleRj Little Eddie was about 6,or 7 at the time when I played with his uncle. I remember he was a high strung and mean to his little sister and he was constantly getting in trouble. That’s why we referred to him as Little Eddie Munster.
That feeling that you said you had at the end of the film is the compounded effects of a lot of things. A lot of it being someone giving themselves to others and asking nothing in return is suddenly taken away trying to do the right thing
I watched this movie in the theater and the effect it had on people was incredible. Everyone walked out with their heads down and you could hear a pen drop.
I was 11 when 9/11 happened and remember it like it was yesterday. Was in history class. Lived 20 minutes south of DC at the time so we got put on lock down the entire day and could only leave if our parents came to sign us out of school. Drove by the Pentagon two days later. Surreal moments. Always loved this movie and book. Great reaction.
I remember when Chris Kyle’s funeral motorcade came through the Galveston / Houston area (I live just outside of Houston). The whole city pretty much came to a stop for that brief time. May he Rest in Peace. 🫡🇺🇸
And when he gets to heaven to Saint Peter he will tell one more soldier reporting sir I have served my time hell. He forever shall be remembered as a true Patriot.
I am halfway through reading the book Chris wrote that the movie was based on. As a veteran myself, I think the book is much better than the movie. You get a deeper understanding of who Chris was both as a person and as a warrior. His loss is still felt, 10 years later. He really was a legend: both during and after his service. RIP Chris
When I was a VA contactor, I was working on developing a program to better assess, address and treat CSR or what's more commonly identified as PTSD - I prefer to coin it as CSR (Combat Stress Reaction) as a means to differentiate the source of the PTSD or the catalyst opposed to other incidents that can cause PTSD. This program was going to examine cases of those U.S service personnel who were in combat operations in with combat arms roles (conventional and SOF) to better understand the symptoms and triggers but also better treat them - not just with medications but with various therapeutic treatments and integration efforts along with doing a much better job of reaching out to these individuals. During my tenor, I got to hear some of the stories of different veterans and really actually listen to them, some of them really just want people to listen to them absent of judgment and that's something I try to provide even to this day. The burden of trying to hold it all together while holding it all in is so damn difficult and damaging, it's imperative to understand that most of the general population will NEVER have to take a life or witness the worst of what man can do to each other. I'm still hoping to get this program lifted off the ground as it would be far more efficient, personalized and advanced than the current standard of VA care. This next part is specifically for those of you in the community (U.S, UK, CA, AUS etc) Please understand that you are not alone, it's perfectly ok to not feel ok. There are so many people like you and have walked through the gauntlet and experienced loss of life, self and have been broken down by the horrors of war. You're human by existence and part of that means seeking help when you're not ok. The nightmares, sensory overload and hyper vigilance, changes in personality along with burst of anger are all hard to deal with in addition to the depression that all compounds. Reach out to your buddies who been there before or served with you, but also please seek help when you start to struggle. There are Veteran communities out there that can offer you so much support but also connect you with people who know what it's like to go to those places and bring the war back home with them.

Great reaction Jada! This movie is a great one to watch. I’ve seen other comments recommending 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. I agree with them fully, it’s worth the watch! Again, great reaction.
A buddy of mine serves with him, I got a call one afternoon to come over. Kyle was there and we got to hangout, I already knew who he was. We talked and drank and he taught me a lot as a us army infantry sniper. He also taught me how to deal with a lot. After hearing the dialogue in this movie about blood diamonds, it made me think that you might want to watch the movie “Blood Diamond” from 2006. When he was wounded, he refused help getting to medics, cause he knew if he needed any help it would take other soldiers out of the fight. I remember watching 9/11 When I was 12. Not even 30 seconds after leaving my house to walk to school, my mom ran outside and dragged me back into the house and we watched the events happen on T.V. live. I wasn't completely aware how significant it was at that very moment but I grew up hearing about all the small details and learning more about it and it burned me up inside. When I was 18 I joined the U.S. Marines, served for 8 years. I learned a lot over that time and had brothers in arms from Afghanistan who joined the U.S. Marines to gain their citizenship and to make a positive difference in their country of origin. Whether you deployed or not, it was a rough time for everyone, because at least a handful of guys you knew in the armed forces had been there or not come back.
@1:51 it’s interesting that you brought up the “correct” metric system but ask yourself: what’s the system used in the only country who has landed people on the moon, and multiple times at that? It not the “correct” metric system. What’s the system of measurement used by the country that’s done a ton to help to protect its ally Australia in the pacific theater of wwii? Some could argue the point it’s the reason the Japanese didn’t take it over or at least inflict a great deal more damage to Australia’s infrastructure. It not the “correct” metric system. For a system of measurement that gets s*** on a lot it’s certainly done a hell of a lot of damn good work towards progressing mankind. It’s always fascinated me how people love to talk about being considerate of other peoples’ customs and culture(which btw would include their own system of measurements and standards) but are so quick to chide and deride their system of measurement when the timing is convenient and comical.
The town Chris Kyle lived in at the time of his death is the town I live in. I often pass by a memorial sign on the highway. Also, Bradley Cooper (unannounced, as far as I know) came to town during production, and my cousin got a picture with him at Dairy Queen!! 😄
I like your Reaktions before but I wait for this a long time thanks girl 😉🤙 To all teams out there and any soldiers thx 4ya service to protect our home’s 🫡✝️✌️ Greets and cheers MIK
Anyone old enough to remember will be able to tell you exactly where they were and what they were doing on September 11 - I was in maths class, we all just stopped and TVs were wheeled in, half the school went home. After school I went to the shopping mall to wait for a bus home and nobody was really shopping, everyone was just standing in crowds around every available TV. Its not an exaggeration to say the entire world stood still. As for Chris Kyle - imagine surviving all that then coming home and being killed by a fellow veteran you were trying to help.
Was a senior in high school when 9/11 happened. We considered it the Pearl Harbor of our generation and a bunch of boys and me from high school signed up for the military as soon as we graduated high school.
I took my nephew to this movie in theaters, in the middle of the movie, older gentleman stood up and physically assaulted my nephew because he was mad that my nephew kept accidentally kicking his wife's chair. I waited until the end of the movie and told him to fuck off.
Great film of a great, if heartbreaking, story. The only ones who win in war are the ones who are the machine behind the machine - the companies manufacturing the arms
I’ll give ya 3 recommendations. I would highly recommend Band of Brothers. It is my absolute favorite show of all time. Another one that goes with that would be The Pacific, but I would take a break in between watching those 2 due to how emotional it will feel. My third recommendation would be the Chernobyl short series. It is only 5 episodes long but they did an amazing job with the storytelling and scenery of the show. Definitely worth a watch if you havnt seen it
Firts of all thaks you answered! I surprised! I keep learning as well (in my case english) I accidentally stumbled one of your video (Schindlers list)the fact was interesting, and make me curious. Afterwards I watched all your videos about war! last but not least I cant hardly wait for the next video! (whatever it may be)
Thanks again for the honest heartfelt reaction. if you want to dive into Steve McQueen movies a little, I would check out Sand Pebbles or Great Escape for a true yet less gory story.
@@MovieJoob I forgot to mention the original Papillon starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. The newest version is a pitiful remake. Be careful, and thanks again.
I enjoyed the movie at first when it first came out until I did a bit of digging. Theres a dark back story to this movie that even Bradley Walsh and Clint Eastwood distanced themselves from the film. Turned out after multiple lawsuits with the Kyle estate after his death and the production that he was a notorious liar. He lied in his book about certain accounts while in the military and claimed he was shooting looters during Hurricane Katrina. He also lied about beating Seal veteran Jesse Ventura in a bar during seal reunion, which lead to Ventura winning a defamation law suit. Even the US military and other seals went after his claims such as the Syrian Olympic guy who Kyle claimed he was hunting never existed. One Seal who served with Kyle said that guy was just wrong upstairs. He did three tours because he loved it, he couldnt wait to go back, he went out there looking for trouble. He got PTSD not from Iraq, but from civilian life. He craved it and the attention back home. If the guy wasnt in military he would be jail. That was a powerful statement and an eye opener. After that I put this movie down to basic US propaganda fiction glorifying their horrific invasion of Iraq. Take it with a big pinch of salt.
They picked the wrong actor in Jake Gyllenhaal to portray Chris Kyle. A lot of veterans and special forces were upset when they found out Jake Gyllenhaal is an anti-gun celebrity and they chose him to play as Chris Kyle who is very pro gun, just like any other veteran and special forces.
I haven't found any other channels react to the movie "Thank you for your service" yet maybe it would set your channel sway from the rest. Also it's based around the same time period of this however it delves more into the psychological impact of the recent wars in the Middle East has had on soldiers back home.
@MovieJoob absolutely your reactions are genuine, heartfelt and if at the very least one civilian can have further empathy towards service men and woman what they have to bear forever and to honor those who fell so that we may stand.
Day is now a thousand times better. Jade I always enjoy coming in and getting to embark on the journey with you, wouldn't have any other way. You are absolutely gorgeous and I am your number one supporter. I know that I've recommended the Bad Batch surrounding the likes of Clone Force 99 and Full Metal Jacket, other recommendations are The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker. P.S., the world needs more beautiful people such as you
We must remember, that in the 2nd WORLD WAR, 1938 TO 1945, SUICIDE bombings/Kamakazi/Kitons/ & even Anphedamine crazed German SS army soldiers were purposed as a lethal weapon. This was used in the Korean War, and in the Vietnam War too!
I feel like a lot of people are like “I wanna be the sniper” and they don’t really take into consideration, unlike a rifleman or, gunner or anything like that, they spend their time shooting in a direction they were shot at from, snipers are, actively shooting at someone, they are looking at the person or, at least an identifying feature someone’s there and they will likely know their targets deceased. I was a GM in the navy and then my last bit I was doing recruiter things and I remember, such a large amount of dudes wanting to be like Chris Kyle and Marcus Luttrell, as, that was when I was doing recruiting was right between these two films and it’s, I don’t know, I guess, funny, because, you know that guys likely not even going to show up for the recruit meetups let alone rack up a couple hundred kills or fight a village worth of Taliban. Romanticized ideals are a wild thing. Not the best to base your career plan on, realistically speaking.
Love the movie but I hate the way they showed Marc Lee die, because that’s not at all how he died. He died when he stepped into the line of fire to provide cover for his fellow Seals with his M240 (it was either an m240 or an M249 I’m unsure which)
I know I already commented but I had another suggestion. If you’re willing to watch actual combat footage/documentary, the movie Restrepo is a great movie to watch that follows the men at OP Restrepo. It’s worth the watch.
Whats so crazy to me as that you, as someone not American, has shown a much more real reaction to Chris Kyle's story than most others on here. It baffles me how inconsiderate and numb the younger generation of Americans have become. Chris gave his life to something he believed was greater than himself, something most young Americans can't even comprehend. Thank you for your consideration to Chris' life.

Great movie, great reaction 👍
Thank you so very much!! 😊
Thats how it was over there Joob. I was over there and saw a lot.
Love you reactions they are very authentic 👍
Aww thank you so very much!!
Maybe Das Boot next time? :)
Thank you so much for this suggestion!!
Cheif Kyle was a good guy, very loved by his brothers.
While I was on deployment in Iraq overwatch was a comfort and a blessing.
Act of valor or tears of the sun 2 more good War movies
The town Chris Kyle lived in at the time of his death is the town I live in. I often pass by a memorial sign on the highway.
Also, Bradley Cooper (unannounced, as far as I know) came to town during production, and my cousin got a picture with him at Dairy Queen!! 😄
I like your Reaktions before but I wait for this a long time thanks girl 😉🤙
To all teams out there and any soldiers thx 4ya service to protect our home’s 🫡✝️✌️
Greets and cheers
MIK
Aww thank you so much for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed!! 😊
I remember seeing this at the cinema, not knowing his story. That ending was just devastating, not sure anyone moved before the end of the credits.
Definitely check out “Only the brave”!!!
This movie was in the making before Chris was killed. Bradley Cooper had been on the phone with him a few times to get insight for making this movie
Oh gosh that is horrible!! I can imagine that would've been really hard for Bradley too! 😢
The Covenant with Jake Gyllenhall is great as well!
Yea, in the theatre when I saw it you could feel the shock and silence in the theatre at the ending. =(
Like someone had punched me in the gut and winded me. I couldn't believe what I had read. 💔
The Pacific would also be a great series to watch along with band of brothers
Try 13 hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. 😁
Thank you so much for the suggestion! 😊
@@MovieJoob Looking forward to your next react vid! Hoping 13 Hours gets picked, not many reaction vids on that film. 😁
Bravo.
I took my nephew to this movie in theaters, in the middle of the movie, older gentleman stood up and physically assaulted my nephew because he was mad that my nephew kept accidentally kicking his wife's chair. I waited until the end of the movie and told him to fuck off.
Pls Watch More of those movies ❤
I definitely want to! I really appreciate learning from these films and empathising with what vets had experienced!
1:45 56 degrees Fahrenheit is about 13 degrees Celsius.
Thank you so much!
Another great reaction! You should definitely check out 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Banghazi
Thank you so much!! And thank you for the suggestion!
Hi Jade hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤️
Thank you as always John! ❤️
You should check out 'the last full measure'
I’d also like to recommend Taking Chance. It’s another great movie.
Thank you so much for the recommendation!
@@MovieJoob No problem!
Since you have tackled some great war movies there are a few more recommendations-1998 The Thin Red Line, 1986 Platoon, A Bridge too Far.
Thank you so much for these suggestion!
Great film of a great, if heartbreaking, story. The only ones who win in war are the ones who are the machine behind the machine - the companies manufacturing the arms
You should check out Our Girl it's a British Military Movie and then turned into TV Show.
Definitely worth a watch if you havnt seen it
I hope you watch A Thin Red Line, Great Book, Great Movie, Tons of stars about WW2 Pacific War. Keep up the great work!!!
Thank you so much for that suggestion!! And thank you I shall try 😊
Fun fact the guy whos back they threw darts at is one of chris kyles teammates in real life
Oh wow!! Did he seriously get darts hit into him though 😵💫
@@MovieJoob that i dont know but he was one of his real teammates
I don't know why you are began watching movies like this but I doo like your react! Keep going!! (I would recommend We were soldiers)
Thank you so much for joining me on this journey! And I guess it all started with Saving Private Ryan!
And thank you for the suggestion! That film is up next!!
Firts of all thaks you answered! I surprised! I keep learning as well (in my case english) I accidentally stumbled one of your video (Schindlers list)the fact was
interesting, and make me curious.
Thank you for your kind comment!!
And thank you for the suggestion!
@@MovieJoob I forgot to mention the original Papillon starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. The newest version is a pitiful remake.
Be careful, and thanks again.
I spent the first 3 years after I got out downing 2-5ths of Jack Daniels a day just to make the memories go away. I would drink it like water.
You should do Lone survivor, based on a true story
I did! Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/Pq8Um0HCHCw/w-d-xo.html 😊
Check out "Special Forces" 2011 with Diane Kruger and Djimon Hounsou. it is one of the best war movies.
I think we're going to turn you into a war monger 🤣😂🤣😂 War Horse next, you love animals. You'll absolutely love Joey.
Men won't be able to find the ketchup in the fridge. But will spot a rattlesnake out in the field. :P
Looool this comment! Hahaha I'd much rather be able to spot a snake in a field than tomato sauce in the fridge though!
We can definitely spot both, idk wtf you're talking about "men" lol
@@aj897 Didn't mean to hurt your ego dude. It was a joke.
You should definitely watch Megan Leavey ❤
Dive Bars in the US have big ass shot glasses.
I would D I E. 🙃
I haven't found any other channels react to the movie "Thank you for your service" yet maybe it would set your channel sway from the rest. Also it's based around the same time period of this however it delves more into the psychological impact of the recent wars in the Middle East has had on soldiers back home.
Oh really? Well I hope you enjoy joining me on this journey!!
@MovieJoob absolutely your reactions are genuine, heartfelt and if at the very least one civilian can have further empathy towards service men and woman what they have to bear forever and to honor those who fell so that we may stand.
now you gotta watch 13 hours soldiers of bengazhi
Thank you so much for the suggestion!!
Hey Jade have I reacted to Final trailer of John Wick 4 plus they is a behind the scenes look.
P.S., the world needs more beautiful people such as you
Aww thank you so incredibly much for your kind comment and suggestions!! I really appreciate it!
@@MovieJoob you are very welcome my dear. Another thing I forgot to add is Forrest Gump
4:53 Because their religion calls them to do it...
so messed up he died like that
Agreed 💔😢
We must remember, that in the 2nd WORLD WAR, 1938 TO 1945, SUICIDE bombings/Kamakazi/Kitons/ & even Anphedamine crazed German SS army soldiers were purposed as a lethal weapon. This was used in the Korean War, and in the Vietnam War too!
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is a movi3 you should watch and review
I had the chance to visit his gravesite in Austin, Tx. Was an honor and sobering experience after seeing this movie.
Oh wow! That would indeed have been such a sobering experience!!
@@MovieJoob thank you for replying to my post you just one more subscriber just because you took time out of your day to reply
Absolutely! It is no easy task and it would be horrendously confronting! I can't imagine the feeling!
56°F is 12°C for the former superpowers. 😉🤪
Ahh you mean the rest of the world 😉 Hahaha seriously though thank you!
Love the movie but I hate the way they showed Marc Lee die, because that’s not at all how he died. He died when he stepped into the line of fire to provide cover for his fellow Seals with his M240 (it was either an m240 or an M249 I’m unsure which)
A lot of the women on our side were CIA or NSA case officers with intelligence on where to find the bad guy
that wife one of the bad examples to be when you are married to a Soldier.
Why haven't you watched Alita: Battle Angel? It is a MUST see
I know I already commented but I had another suggestion. If you’re willing to watch actual combat footage/documentary, the movie Restrepo is a great movie to watch that follows the men at OP Restrepo. It’s worth the watch.
You should react to 12 strongs movie and 13 hours
Thank you so much for the suggestions!
Your reaction is really pure
I highly recommend you to watch Resident Evil: degeneration animation
it's Amazing
Thank you so much for the kind comment and suggestion!!
I love Resident Evil! I've played almost all the RE games! (especially on our GamerJoob and GamerJoob Plays Channels)
Reaction "the 7 magníficos" 🤠✌️
