For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.

Dude, I love you! I have spent all summer, asked a few neighbors and was not able to re-string my Ryobi. This....this was easy and it worked. Thank you so much for this video. I have had my Ryobi for 3 years, and for 3 years I have been hand winding the line, because the instructions that came with it were so unclear. Today I needed to put more line in it, so I hand wound it, then I wondered if there was a better way, so of course I checked you tube, where I saw your video, I in wound the line, then re did it your way, what a difference. Now I know it is wound right, and it's so much easier to do. Thank You once again.

Thanks for your video! Whenever I need to refill I have to look for a video because all of the markings on the head are completely worn down. There are no arrows. No rotation direction indicators. Not even the green cross bars. And the red knob is completely gone. All that remains of it is a red button the size of a quarter that the bolt rests inside. If I want to loosen it I have to push the red plastic button down so I can put a wrench around the bolt. Watching your video showed me which direction to turn the bolt. I still had to take it apart to see where the hole was but once I found it and put it back together I knew were to position it so the holes would line up. It was sill a good push to get the line to go through. Thanks again for the video and I’m sure I’ll need it again next time I refill.

I have the same trimmer but mine came with a REEL-EASY spool head and a detachable crank for quickly winding the line onto the spool. It also came with 3 extra coils of line. You just slip the line through the holes lined up and attach the crank to the spool nut and crank & wind the line onto the spool. Super easy just like they say and only takes a few minutes. You can buy the REEL-EASY spool head with crank system to replace this old style head. Recommended.
