He probably keeps his beard like the way he does because of how itchy beards get as they grow-out. I tried to grow them a few times, but I always gave up because the beard would get so damn itchy! Anyway, not to take away from how good his lessons are, because I think he ranks as the "Greatest of All Time" when it comes to TH-cam Guitar teachers!
@dr.davidj.welham841, I know what you mean, but they will quit being itchy. I've had a beard off and on most of my life. Now i've got a Letterman-like beard, that started in No-Shave November of '16.
Women's Perspective Here: I'd say that anything of a beard that's more than what Andrew is rockin' is not really all that attractive to most women out there. Women typically prefer the Jason Statham look. Once a beard gets all "mountain man" looking, it's kind of not so hot looking to most women out there. Just my 2 cents on this comment.
Wanna get really weird looks from the guys at the guitar store? On the guitar that you are seriously considering buying, and they know well that you are, pick out the opening phrase of "Folsom Prison Blues." Only substitute a pre-bend for the pull-off. 😁
