    Doesn't dunking the chicken in the spicy oil mixture get rid of the crispiness of the fried chicken? I love a good crunch.

    • @ilovemeatdotcom
      @ilovemeatdotcom  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The key to keeping the crispness is using hot oil. It should be hot enough that it sputters and pops when coming in contact with the seasoning. Dunk immediately and serve immediately.

    • @watervillegangmember
      @watervillegangmember 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ilovemeatdotcom Hi there, I was referring to after it's been cooked, when you swish it around in the spicy oil mixture. Doesn't that "soak" the chicken and take away the crispiness?

    • @ilovemeatdotcom
      @ilovemeatdotcom  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@watervillegangmember If you dunk the chicken in cold or even just warm spicy oil mixture it will get soggy. The spicy oil mixture needs to be ripping hot. Notice I dip hot oil straight out of the Dutch oven.
