They can change color. They can change shape and texture. They strategize, play, and solve puzzles. They've got three hearts, their skin can see, their blood is blue, their magic trick is disappearing, and over half of their brain is not in their head. Instead, it’s in their arms.
Octopuses are a bit different from other cephalopods: squid and cuttlefish actually DO have tentacles. Two of those bad boys, specifically, which they use for hunting. Tentacles are often longer, and kinda slimy, with suckers or hooks at their tips.
The first thing it’s important to know about octopus arms is that they can think on their own. And while that might not sound too surprising when it comes to the third-right arm that, incidentally, functions as a penis, it’s a complete departure from how most animals that we consider “intelligent” operate.

Octopus arms are completely unique. 🐙
The animals have an extensive nervous system, with over 500 million neurons, similar in number to that of a dog. But unlike dogs and other vertebrates, where the majority of neurons are in the brain, over two-thirds of the octopuses' neurons are located within their arms and body. That's fascinating!

*"In the cephalopoda class you've got squid, octopuses and cuttlefish"
    *What about vampyromorphida smh!!
*Edit: After doing more research I've come to the conclusion that it was even less specific than I thought. Excerpt from Wikipedia: Cephalopods became dominant during the Ordovician period, represented by primitive nautiloids. The class now contains two, only distantly related, extant subclasses: Coleoidea, which includes octopuses, squid, and cuttlefish; and Nautiloidea, represented by Nautilus and Allonautilus.
*Cephalopod isn't synonymous with Coleoidea and this would be better off specified, even if my original comment was a joke.

So in the context of this video's opening sentence, octopods would have been more correct. And that's your useless fact for the day.

So octopi was always a bit of a mistake, octopus is a Greek word but ending it with i follows Latin grammar, if we followed Greek pluralization it would be "octopodes." But there are plenty of English words that are loan words but when we take them into our language, we use our own grammar for them because it's a word in English now too lol. Idk when exactly it changed and the whole thing was always rather silly and prescriptivist (I was taught octopi in school as well), but I'm glad that it's now octopuses, or at least that both forms are decently accepted.
